What you can expect

You might as well call Budapest “Food-a-pest” because the Hungarian capital is buzzing with delicious restaurants, and we’ll help you eat like a local on a priority access gastronomic experience in the city. Skip the stress of planning and let us take care of you and your taste buds. We've set the itinerary and the menu, all you have to do is show up and bring your appetite!

The tour starts at an old synagogue, offering a great introduction to the history of Hungarian cuisine since much of the food is heavily influenced by Jewish culture and tradition. Then, your foodie guide will take you and a group of fellow travellers through District 7 to dive further into this history.

The tour is divided into two parts, so you get the best of both worlds when it comes to the city’s gastronomic scene. First, you’ll try some delicious street food such as traditional Hungarian soup and lángos, a deep-fried flatbread. Here you won’t need utensils, just your hands and an open mind! Wash it all down with a local Dreher beer then soak in the eccentric atmosphere of the city’s party streets before heading to fancier spots for a sit-down meal.

You’ll try chicken paprikash, Hungary's best-loved comfort food with braised chicken and paprika and a shot of pálinka. We'll end the tour on a sweet note with dessert wine from Tokaji, Hungary’s famed wine region, and somlói, a trifle cake with custard.

The best way to get to know a city like Budapest is through its food and the locals who make it. Book now and start making memories.
