The hotel was ideal for one night to visit the adjacent Carcassonne Citadel. However, Hotel Montmorency is actually a name for one building of small bedrooms that is across a road from the main hotel.

The Hotel has a good location, the staff is very friendly and attentive, but it is not a hotel worth the price you pay. We had a TERRIBLE experience with the air conditioning at night. The Staff did their best to resolve the situation but could not do it. They suggested a portable fan. Or (the last night) a portable air conditioning which required an open window for the exhaust air to go out. We were part of a group of friends who had no problems with their rooms We were the only ones. There were NO other rooms available. We had very uncomfortable sleep the entire 4 days stay paying over 800$ per night. Very disappointing and frustrating. We have already sent a formal notification to the hotel requesting an adjustment for this inconvenience.
