The Hotel Benois has the best location on Galassas Beach. The beach is conveniently located across the street. It’s a beautiful sandy clean beach in a bay. It’s shallow for quite a while before it gets deeper. There are two excellent restaurants right next door. You can’t go wrong booking here!

Wonderful stay! Great location right by the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful any time we needed something. The rooms and grounds were cleaned daily. The waterslide was super fun and the pool bartender was a sweetheart. Would definitely recommend.

We were warmly greeted by Vasiliki who showed us to our room. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable. The location was excellent as it was only a few minutes to walk to downtown. The room amenities were top notch: loved the olive based shampoo and body wash. We really enjoyed the healthy breakfast selection provided by Litza.

The staff was kind and friendly like the staff at every other hotel in Greece; nothing remarkable. They don’t answer when you call and the wi-fi barely works so it was the least tech savvy hotel I stayed at. There were moments when no one was in the hotel except one housekeeper so it felt deserted most of the time. The rooftop views are gorgeous but they don’t have an outdoor seating area. I went up there to take photos and the door locked me out and no one was able to help for over five minutes and no one answered the phone or email. I would not return.

This was an amazing find, and we selected this island in part because we found this great hotel. The property is a newly restored mansion, and all of the original structure is maintained while being updated with modern touches. Thus, each room is distinctive. The new design is understated to complement the original building, yet they have done an amazing job of making it suitable for today's traveler. There are lots of outlets, well placed lighting, well equipped bathrooms, and more. While the structure was amazing, most impressive was the young, energetic, creative, service-minded staff. Hotel personnel in the dining room and the reception areas went above and beyond regularly in arranging reservations including a tour, booking taxis, massages, etc. The young, very talented woman hotel manager was gracious and explained the history of the property along with describing the extensive restoration The included breakfast was excellent with a variety of menu choices. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the downtown and harbor areas where visitors will find good shopping and great restaurants. We would return there again and will tell our traveling friends about this unique experience.

Great property. Wonderful staff. Very clean rooms. It was quite noisy at night from within the hotel which was a distraction. Also, the beds are much too hard for anyone with back issues. Finally, the toilets in the basement should have toilet seats to accommodate travellers from around the world. Thank you!
