Nice property

I hope management makes a big change in the rooms’ bathrooms. The tiny, bright overhead light by the sink is just awful. We had 2 rooms and we all agreed on that. Nowadays, much simpler hotels have front and backlit bathroom vanity mirrors. This is a must! The round wall-mounted mirror in the bathroom also needs an upgrade. In addition, if it wants to compete with other luxury brands, Faena must upgrade its in-room amenities. There was no steamer, no iron or ironing board in the bedroom, and bathroom amenities were just ok, but nothing special— I don’t know what shampoo or conditioner I was using. I don’t know what body lotion I was using, while ant other luxury hotels you are presented with an array of toiletries from trusted brands. All it said on it was “Faena”. Plus sides: awesome smart-toilet available, absolutely beautiful, extremely gorgeous hotel overall. Excellent food. Staff is very professional, and Claudia at the Concierge Desk was excellent! Super knowledgeable and efficient.

Boulan was overall a nice looking property but our Jr King Suite with “terrace” was okay. The “terrace” was extremely small and definitely not like the picture which was extremely frustrating. When asked about it, front desk assured us that the room was correct that was just the size of their “terraces” for that floor (second floor). The front desk even offered to see if there were any other rooms available but sadly, there were not. Great, spacious room, especially for only 2 people but again, the terrace was something I was looking forward to and didn’t get anything like the picture. Leonardo next door does get loud during weekends so be careful with that but other than that.. 1) location is top tier walking distance to pretty much everything 2) no more than a 7 min walk to beach 3) front desk assistants were more than ready to help & again, nice hotel just may need to be kept up a bit more. (Holes / scratches / dings) in walls.
