Boa Island Luxury Holidays

I acknowledge that we traveled during a heat wave and that many hotels in Ireland do not have AC, such as this one. However the room we were given was just beyond uncomfortable. It had to be at least 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit in the room when we arrived at 9pm. The room was on the 3rd floor and above the kitchen. It had a sun roof window that was not shaded. All windows were closed when we got there. I would have hoped that they recognized the heat and would have turned on fans or opened windows ahead of time to offset the heat especially since I called ahead to ask about this specifically. Also in regard to me calling ahead, I left multiple messages and even emailed through Expedia and never got a response. When I arrived they mentioned there was a note on my booking that I wanted a fan… so clearly they got all of my messages and chose to not respond. I will say when the manager went up to the room after we came down to ask for another, he really seemed like he wanted to help us but there was nothing could be done. They had no other rooms available, not even at their other properties. They gave us 2 additional fans to try and unlocked the window so it could be opened all the way. There were 5 of us staying in the family room. It was HOT! Outside of that the property seemed like it would be lovely but we just had a very hard time enjoying our stay in those conditions. They spa was also not open which we didn’t find out until we got there too.

The main lobby and rooms were immaculate. The staff was friendly and approachable. The food was absolutely outstanding 😍 we had planned to eat out but after trying the hotel food on night one, we ordered again on night 2. The only downfall was the leisure centre, it felt very dated compared to the rest of the hotel. Otherwise, I cannot fault this hotel in any way. Would definitely stay here again.

Best possible staff.

Sam and Pat were absolutely amazing. Their hospitality was unmatched in all the places we stayed on this trip. The breakfast was top tier as they are professional chefs. The property was beyond beautiful, especially their pristine garden which they've poured countless hours into. I highly recommend this place to book and would stay again a thousand times over.

Really sweet and classy small hotel right in the heart of the city. Staff was very helpful with recommendations and the bar was awesome.

The perfect escape! A beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff were lovely. I ordered a meal from room service which was delicious. There was a good variety at breakfast with local produce.
