Overall, Hotel Ca' Alvise was a good hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a pleasant stay. In general, I was happy with the hotel and would recommend it for a short stay in Venice.

We had the good fortune of staying in room 101. Large and comfortable with multiple windows, doors and balconies on two sides of the building, including facing the grand canal, which after walking the city for three days, is a must to look out over if you can. Stay away from the smaller canals where there is no breeze, no sunshine and possibly some bad smells. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening cocktails were excellent and there was even a green space, which is very rare in Venice. The only drawback is that the hotel is next to one of the water taxi stops so there is some noise, but if peace and quiet is your expectation for this city, you are at the wrong destination. We would stay here again without question.

The hotel has a great location if you’re looking for St Mark’s square proximity. Breakfast was nice. Just be aware the hotel has an annex and you may end up there. You leave the hotel, go down a short alley, through a small courtyard to their annex building. The room was ok but we would have preferred the main building. Breakfast is in the real hotel. Also, for those who care, English language tv is scarce and inconsistent.

This property is 5 stars all the way around. From the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the beauty and cleanliness of the entire property, the experience will forever be remembered. Dining in the restaurant is also a must!

A wonderful stay at San Clemente Palace Venice. The setting is truly special, with the peaceful island atmosphere offering a relaxing escape from the bustle of the city. The property is elegant and beautifully maintained, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the convenient boat transfer to Venice. Overall, a memorable experience and a lovely place to stay.

Good location by the water bus stop on the Grand Canal and thankfully a bit away from the crowds of St. Marco district, which is easy 10-minute walk away. Big room, marble-everywhere bathroom, comfortable bed, strong AC, BUT the carpet in room 101 should have been replaced 10 years ago. Guessing it used be white, but now it is gray-ish and covered in dark stains all over. Oddly, a porter entered the room "to check the minibar inventory" while we were in the room resting in the afternoon. Why the inventory count was not done during the cleaning earlier in the day??... Not a 5-star hotel category.

I would definitely recommend Hotel Casanova. The service was excellent, the customer service was great, and everything was very clean. I was very happy with my stay and had a wonderful experience.
