Highly recommend this hotel. The most unbelievably incredible view of the alps and Lake Thun (make sure you book a balcony room). Wonderful breakfast included (not just continental). Sauna, steam room wellness spa on premises. Friendly people, and cute mountain town; just about 15 minutes from Interlaken. Loved this hotel, we returned and booked another night after some traveling around the area.

I booked this hotel expecting basic amenities, especially a hot shower and a comfortable night’s sleep. Unfortunately, there was no hot water during my stay, making it impossible to shower. This completely defeated one of the main reasons I booked the hotel. I informed the front desk, but the issue was not resolved in a timely manner, and there was no compensation offered. A functioning hot water system is a basic expectation for any hotel, and not having it significantly impacted my stay.

The hotel has great air conditioning! I was there during a heat wave & the room temperature could be adjusted unlike some other nearby hotels. The staff was polite and helpful. The tram is right outside the front door and only 3 stops to the train station. My only suggestion is to have a mini fridge. It would have been helpful for cold drinks and snacks during the heat wave.

The hotel is very old and poorly maintained, Our room had a weird smell that made us leave the windows open all night, it was dusty ,the carpets looked super old , dirty and stained , the lake view that was offered from a balcony which had two old chairs was obstructed by tall grown yellow grass, I was embarrassed because I was the one who booked that place.

Absolutely spoilt! What a beautiful hotel, all the art work, amazing spa facilities and food was delicious! Thank you for an amazing stay Dolder Grand.
