Clean, convenient, and a great breakfast

Posted 13-Jul-2016
Our room was very comfortable and the hotel staff were so nice. The shuttle to Old Town was very helpful since I didn't know the area.

Pet Friendly Hotel in downtown Wichita area- --

Posted 27-May-2016
Pros: grounds were pretty
Cons: rooms were outdated---
leave the pet at home and stay somewhere else. Grounds were clean and nice- This is actually an old Residence Inn- repurposed. Parking was close to the room- Rooms were dated and seemed old--but was clean. very few ammenities in kitchen. We got there late and left really early- so we did not eat there. However, our night's sleep was restless and disturbing at best. The walls must be paper thin and the hotel is located right by the US 54 main highway thru Wichita. Sirens and car alarms were going off constantly. People were arguing outside at all hours. I did not feel safe.

Great hotel close to freeway and downtown

Posted 03-May-2016
Pros: It does not feel like you are in a hotel more like an apartment. Room and a lot of space, nice desk/table, a recliner and full kitchenette.
Location: Parking was adequate and location is only about a mile from Old Town. Freeway was next door but traffic noise was not noticeable.
This hotel is a group of 8-plexes with a common lobby/breakfast building. I guess they call it an "extended stay" hotel. Needed a easy-access room due to my wife recovering from a broken hip. First floor room was excellent. Be sure to ask as rooms on 2nd and 3rd level would be difficult if you're not young (I did not see elevators). Breakfast was the usual except that they will make omelettes, pancakes, waffles and french toast to order. Food was very good and staff was very helpful. As it was a weekend the room was crowded. Enjoyed the stay very much and will return in future.

Excellent location in Wichita for our purposes.

Posted 27-Apr-2016
Pros: Liked the location, the huge size of the room and closet, and the pool.
Cons: There was a lot of noise in the parking lot late at night, squealing tires and yelling.
Location: Sadly, my daughter took us around and I was never sure where I was.
Hotel was located within minutes of my daughter's loft. Room had everything we needed, including plenty of room. Wish we had known there was a pool right outside our door, would have packed swim suits.

Best place to stay in Wichita

Posted 24-Apr-2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Run more specials. LOL
Location: Wichita is not that big so just about everything is within 15 minutes or so.
We love this Hotel because it has full size fridge, stove , micro and dishes in the kitchen. The full service breakfast is the bomb. Chef on site to cook your meal for a tip. (or not) And it is an awesome meal. This hotel also partners with many Wichita attractions for a discount by showing your key card to your room also,,(just ask for the list). Nice work out room and summer pool. Another reason we love this hotel is the spacious room for our 2 year old to run around in. They also have current DVD's for free to watch in the lobby to take to your room. After we discovered this gem we have stayed no where else in Wichita. We do watch an try to book in advance when they offer discounts. We plan on doing a 2 or 3 day stay there this summer while visiting Wichita attractions.

Loud hotel.

Posted 21-Apr-2016
Cons: Very close to the freeway so it was very loud. The boiler is also in the room and it would make the loudest noise. Took a shower the first day and all these hairs were appearing from the drain. Floor was a little dirty. Both phones, 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom was not working. Pros: Convenient to all parts of the city. Had plenty of parking space. Hotel staff was nice. Loved the breakfast except that they close at 9....too early. Room had kitchen so you could cook something if you wanted to.

OK Stay.

It is located right on the interstate and just has other hotels and fast food places around it. Nothing impressive, yet that is all we needed for the night.

Another great stay at Water Walk

Posted 18-Apr-2016 on Hotels
This was my second stay at Hotel at Water Walk Wichita, and I was just as pleased with the hotel as when I visited a year ago. The beds were comfortable with thick, supportive pillows (NOT down pillows, which I despise and are the only option at many other hotels, though I realize some people do prefer them). The desk staff was incredibly pleasant and accommodating when I needed an after midnight check-in. The cooked to order breakfast plus hot and cold buffet items is my favorite thing about staying here. Though there was a bit of a wait on both weekend days I stayed, the hardworking cook kept orders churning out as quickly as she could, with a smile. Definitely look into this hotel for your stay in Wichita!
