On the sea front, nice decor, good breakfast, helpful staff. Get a sea front room with a balcony.

Beautiful historic property on the ocean

The staff were very helpful and kind. The location is wonderful and close to Canterbury. Dinner was absolutely superb at the onsite restaurant. Pack lightly when visiting here... due to the property's age and design, lots of stairs.

Great views and good rooms. Shower a bit small.

Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast quality could be improved. Cold buffet was a bit sparse.
Location: Good access to Canterbury, Whitstable and Ramsgate.
Good location for exploring Kent. Sea front position enables walks and cycle rides along good promenade. Shingle beach safe for children.

Nice hotel except for unexpected surcharge for extra bed when I had already paid a supplement for extra bed on hotels.com

Lovely stay

Lovely hotel situated on sea front, short walk from town centre with some lovely shops. had lovely sea view room at the top in the eaves (lots of stairs to climb). Nice homely lounge with fire, very welcoming on a cold day.

Amazing stay

Very relaxing hotel, nice view. Choose first floor which has the best view. I didn't like the other rooms that they showed me in the second floor. Staff was very helpful. Watch ur steps the stairs its a bit slippery,

Coastal Gem Delivers On All Fronts

Posted 25-Nov-2016 on Hotels
This hotel was gently understated yet delivered to a high standard. From the friendly welcome to the smart décor and excellent food. Access to upper floors tricky but there is a lift. Views are stunning, there's a ParkRun right outside every Saturday morning, lovely walks right from the front door, a decent in-house coffee bar and a well appointed pub on the premises. It's a gem.

Lovely location, great view.

Very nice room and decor. The evening meal was mediocre and service poor and indifferent. Staff not especially friendly, i.e. waiters and bar staff. Two lights in the room were not working when we arrived.

Nicely refurbished hotel close to beach

Posted 29-Oct-2016
Lovely spacious rooms with Victorian feel, newly refurbished. Lovely meal in dining room, friendly and helpful staff. We had an attic room but it was spacious and had a great sea view.
