Top Vulcan Park and Museum Hotel Reviews
Embassy Suites Hotel Birmingham
8/10 Good
"Certain aspects of the property require an updated. 1.) All of the glass elevators windows physically were in poor conditions with multiple scratches and scrapples on the glass. 2.) The ventilation fan in bathroom is in poor condition (sounded like it was going to fall apart). Room 605 3.) Room did not have a safe. Which meant we had to carry those personal items that we would normally place a safe with us while exploring Birmingham. All of the staff that we engaged with where pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"Lovely hotel. Great location."
Ridge Retreats Unit G- King Beds/Free Parking/Wifi
10/10 Excellent
"My family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids) fit comfortably in this space. We visited one night for a show at the BJCC Legacy Arena, and found that this was a very convenient location to UAB and downtown Birmingham. It was also close to some good restaurants in the area (like Dreamland BBQ). There is also a nice view out the window that is pictured. The beds were very comfortable, and the living room space is also comfortable and just as pictured. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room watching tv in the morning before we departed. The space would work well for longer stays as the kitchen has everything that you need as far as refrigerator, stove, cooktop, etc. The immediate area that this apartment is located in appears to be predominately used by college students. There are a lot of older homes in the area, many in good shape and some that are a bit run down. Parking in front of the apartment is on the street in front or is a coul-de-sac in the back. Neither is within a gated community and parking is a bit tight on the street, but plentiful in the coul-de-sac. As long as you are being smart by not leaving things in the car, then there should not be any issues. Despite these minor issues that are not under the control of the unit owner, I would feel safe enough to return to the area. As for the apartment itself, the building appears to be a bit older, but in overall good shape. There are minor maintenance issues such as some broken electrical outlet covers and a few cracks in sheetrock on the ceiling. However, the apartment was very clean, spacious, and well functioning. The major furniture, appliances, and countertops appeared to be relatively new, in great shape, and well maintained. Towels and linens were in great shape, clean, and plentiful as well. The A/C worked great despite the 90+ degree heat during our visit. We did not encounter any noise from any of the other apartments in the building during our stay. There are several sets of stairs to get up to the apartment which is at the top of the building, and then when you enter the apartment, you will go up one more set of stairs, so this should be a consideration if you have very small children or you have trouble getting up and down stairs. If you have small children, then you will need a baby gate to prevent any falls from the living room down to the main entrance. Our host communicated well with us, and responded quickly. Our stay was very short, so we didn't really need much, but when I did text/e-mail I received and immediate response. We would definitely return as this provides a very cost effective stay for a large family that provides us much more space and amenities than we would find at a local hotel."
Tree House
10/10 Excellent
"I really liked the area. I love the aesthetic of the room. I liked how quiet it was and it was comfortable. I do wish there was a full size mirror in the room - we were visiting for a concert and wanted to see how we looked after getting ready. That’s my only tweak. The property is perfect and we will be staying again."
A House out of a Storybook · Downtown - Clean & Comfy The Little Prince House
10/10 Excellent
"This Little Prince House was a genuine gem. Staying here felt like living inside a work of art, with something interesting to discover around every corner and stunning sunset views. My kids absolutely loved it and are already asking when we can come back.A couple of things to know before you book: there are quite a few stairs, and the house doesn't have central heat/air, so plan accordingly depending on the season. Neither was a dealbreaker for us. The character and charm of the place more than made up for it.If you're ever passing through Birmingham, I'd highly recommend staying here"
