Service was slow, likely due to understafffing, but the hotel was clean and in a great location. The bartender was a gem, and there's a noodle and dumpling restaurant attached that was great. Overall a positive experience and I would stay here again.

We have stayed here several times in the past ten years. Very convenient for all that Homewood has to offer in dining and shopping. The hotel is looking worn. Needs new carpet at least. Time up upgrade the sheets.

The Aloft Soho Square in Birmingham is a little tired. We have stayed there twice annually for four years (on our drive to and from Florida). We love the location but the hotel itself needs a facelift. On our last visit, we: could not get cold water in our bathroom, there was a leak beneath the sink on the floor, we were put in a handicap accessible room and we’re not handicapped, and the sliding door to the toilet took a weightlifter open and close it. Thankfully the staff was accommodating. It is also dog friendly which is a requirement for us.
