Hôtel charmant

Posted 22-Aug-2015

Venice overnight

Posted 01-Aug-2015
Very central a bit quirky but clean and tidy - don't buy a 40 cent beer though because they'll charge you €9! The room we had was in the roof with very low ceilings which was frustrating and would have been a real nuisance had we been there longer than 1 night.

Excellent hotel. A quit place in the heart of Veni

Posted 17-Jun-2015
Pros: Location, the room, and nice breakfast
Cons: Not really
Location: See above
The room is nice, the location is excellent, just 3 minutes from S. Marco church and 5-10 minutes from Rialto bridge.

Easy walking distance to St Marks Square. Attractive sitting areas and good breakfast. Rooftop terrace is pleasant for evening drinks.

SWINDLE

Posted 26-Apr-2015 on Hotels
We have taken advantage of a special deal offer for a double standard room in the Hotel building (not in the dependance which we could have chosen as well, but specially did not choose). We have been given a room in the dependance which was ok, but not great. When we said we would like to have the room we had reserved in the hotel building, a small room right to the entrance door has been proposed to uns and when we said that this was not the room they had promised on Internet either, we were shown another small attic room. We never saw the rooms with which publicity is made on Internet and which figure on the hotel brochure we were given at the hotel. The public prices indicated for the rooms are completely overdone and the standard of the hotel is not worth it. The discount price we paid was ok, but still we would have chosen another hotel for the same price. I love Venice but I really don't recommend this hotel.

Great location near the Piazza San Marco

Posted 04-Apr-2015
Pros: Location was ideal. Very comfortable and an excellent reception team. The hotel was spotlessly clean, breakfast buffet was really good.
Cons: Free wifi would be great. A bar that was open in the annex rather than just the main hotel.
Location: An ideal location near San Marco piazza to see the Doge Palace and the bridge of sighs. From S. Zaccaria vaporetto stop you can get to all the islands
An ideal location near San Marco, which means you can always find it after being in the Venetian labyrinth. The hotel in near the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop and from there you can see the Doge Palace and the bridge of sighs. There had been a plumbing problem on the day we arrived, so our room wasn't ava for the first night. They put us up in another hotel near by and then upgraded our booking for the rest of the stay. Service was always good as was the buffet breakfast. The main hotel has its own bridge, a roof terrace and very good team at reception. We stayed in the Annex, round the corner. Our room was really large, very good bed and very quiet. The bathroom had a great shower, but no space to put things down - there were shelves just outside

Great weekend getaway

Posted 30-Mar-2015
, hotel staff very courteous and pleasant to deal with. comfortable location with its own peace and tranquility, although very close to the square, nightlife, public transportation, taxi service, gondola rides, food and shopping. The Hotel offers a breakfast which in my opinion is lacking options. You can't order eggs the way you want, pancakes need to be heated. No cold drinks.
