"Titlis lift walking distance, amazing breakfast. The hotel is cozy and the village beautiful and amazing. One of our best holidays. Hotel is not 5 star, didn’t bother us. It is an old building with lots of character. Breakfast catered to vegans as well as avo-lacto. Staff helpful. Train station 1 minute walk. "

"I went to Engelberg for a restful weekend of walking and was very happy with my stay. From arrival to departure the ladies who operate the hotel were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great, and they are well stocked with comforts like snacks and wine (very fairly priced too!) for late night goodies. I would recommend them and hope to stay again another time."

"Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, good size and the balcony with a view. It was quiet too. The only, very minor downside was a bit dark, lack of light in the ceiling. The bathroom was clean, good size and shower was powerful. Breakfast is good too, with lots of selection, from the usual continental as well as hot sausages, bacon, beans, scrambled eggs and boil eggs. Orange juice was good, as well as the coffee. It is close to the train station, closer than I expected. And the ski free shuttle is right opposite the hotel front door. The ski room with boot warmer. There was swimming pool but I didn't use it. Cannot fault it at all, 100% recommended. "

"A real feel good cosy chalet. Easy walk into Engelberg, lots to do in the area. Well equipped kitchen, everything provided. Lovely balcony to enjoy the sunshine. Easy access via key safe. Garage to park car. We were lucky as we had fantastic weather."
