"The hotel's location gives a breathtaking view of the ocean- there's also a small walking path along the edge of the peninsula which is perfect for a morning walk! The hotel was very clean with friendly staff. The outdoor pool had a bit of clean algae sticking along the swimming pool, which is understandable since the weather there is so labile. My husband and I didn't stay too much inside the hotel, but some things we noticed was: no microwave inside the rooms & the food from the restaurant was very salty (prob true for all Azorean food). The gym is also located inside the indoor swimming area which was very humid. But location wise- it was perfect! maximum 45 min drive to all the touristy spots. However, if you want access to food (other than hotel food), I would recommend staying close to ponta delgada."

"Vila Nova Hotel is a really solid option, especially for a traveler spending most of their time going off on adventures. The location is good, parking is convenient, the pool is well maintained and the breakfast is decent. My advice to to hotel management: Consider updating some of the decor. I looked it up, and the hotel is built in the early 2000s, and it looks it. I think you wouldn't have to spend much time to significantly upgrade the feeling of the place. My thanks to all the staff, we had a great time staying there and exploring the island."

"This was an excellent spot for us to stay during a quick turn in Ponta Delgada. Entry instructions and communication were excellent. While there is no staff at night, all the required amenities were in place. Breakfast was supplied in advance and made traveling very easy. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend!!!"

"Lovely, lovely! The people were so friendly, personal and helpful! I traveled there with my daughter and they brought me a complimentary bottle of wine and a chilled bottle of apple juice for her. On the roof is a gorgeous infinity pool and sun loungers - incredible view! There’s a nice-looking gym, as well. Awesome vibes all around."
