Great area within a 15 minute walk to downtown SLO

Posted 28-Feb-2017
Pros: Price
Cons: Upgrade shower knobs. It was difficult to find the hot water.
Location: Quick walk to downtown. Also a few places to eat close by and easy access to the highway. Great location!
The hotel was fine. Seemed to be enough parking, the room was clean, we had enough towels, and the heating/cooling system worked well. No complaints and came at a great price. Would stay here again for sure.

Toilet is working but needs repair. Door knob in the toilet is loose. One chair has some kind of stain. Microwave not plugged.

Granted this hotel fits the definition of "economical", but the quality was substandard at best. My first room I only lasted 15 minutes as sink flooded/did not drain and bathtub had ants in it. I immediately requested a second room. The room was dingy and rug dirty. I can only imagine what was going on in the room below with people coming in and out at all hours of the night. Breakfast selection was white bread and fruit loops. I only had coffee to last me until I could have a reasonable breakfast elsewhere. I would have left altogether but unfortunately most hotels in SLO were booked. Not worth price

Disappointing stay

Posted 13-Jun-2016 on Hotels
Very disappointing experience. Found some spiders in the room on multiple occasions. Room smelled awful, small mold buildup in shower, bet was basically on the floor. Especially given it was graduation weekend, it cost over $150/night - the hotel should have been rented by the hour :/

The "continental breakfast" was hardly a breakfast with just a choice of two cereals, and bread. Moreover, there is no place to eat there. The location is in a relatively safe neighborhood off the freeway, but doesn't provide privacy and loud as cars park right in front of the room. The room smelled bad, a lot of the furniture is torn and real beat up, etc. Won't be staying again

Many better places to stay

Posted 31-May-2016 on Hotels
Room smelled and was dirty. The bed skirt and chairs were stained The microwave was mostly brown from someone burning something. The ironing board was burnt and torn. The wifi was so bad I switched back to cellular. The breakfast was waffles, two types of cereal and toast. No muffins no Danish no bagels no juice.
