Bad hotel in a great location and at a great price
The hotel is really bad. I mean, I never knew hotels could be that bad. It's like someone tried to make it as bad as possible on a bet. Anywhere you turn in your room you find things that are old, disgusting-looking and as if fished out of a dumpster. Add to that a strong chlorine odor which i had to work on getting rid of by keeping the window open for a while at the end of November (and it was cold!) The shower is small even for a slim person, I can't imagine anyone bigger even getting inside. The towels are actually torn and look like mopping rags. The plumbing problems deserve a special review just by themselves... The breakfast room is an underground utility room, don't go for it, you are in Paris, there are other options.
However, all that said, I must admit that it is a very affordable (cheap, to be honest) hotel in the very heart of Paris. You are between Rue de Rivoli and Les Halles, Louvre is within 6 minutes walk, in fact everything is within 6 minutes walk. If you are on a budget and want to still enjoy being in the center of this magical city, this hotel is about the only option. As long as you know what to expect. Would be great for students.
