Nice hotel and not too far from the beach

Posted 13-Aug-2016
Pros: very friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast option were a little spars, more options would make breakfast a little more appealing.
Location: public beach access is within walking distance and numerous options for food are nearby.
Hotel staff was extremely friendly and rooms were clean. While the hotel is not right on the beach, it is still within walking distance.

Good location, but is a bit run down

Posted 25-Jun-2016
I was not expecting this to be a luxury hotel, but it was below expectations. The sheets and towels were worn thin. Rooms were well worn out and need to be renovated. Continental breakfast was below my low expectations. Staff overall was friendly and the golf cart shuttle to the beach is nice, and location is very good.

Convenient location, cozy and quiet

Awesome location. A bit dated, but overall a great deal (stayed in off-season) with tons of privacy. Loved the size of it - less than 30 rooms on 2 floors. 2 blocks from beach. Conveniently located directly beside 17th St Surf Shop.

Good value - the right price for what it provides.

Clean rooms, Close to beach

Posted 30-Apr-2016
This hotel was very close to the beach, a 5 minute walk at most. Free continental breakfast with juice, coffee, cereal and batter to makes your own waffles, as well as mini muffins and bagels. Beds are double beds, not queens, and not very comfortable. The room was dated, but clean and for the amount of time we actually spent there, well worth the money, which was priced moderately compared to other pricier hotels. Would stay here again, but get the king bed if possible.

Ok.. You get what you pay for.

Towels were dirty.. Gross. Rooms are loud, you can hear every step the upstairs neighbors take. But it is close to the beach, close to good restaurants and to kitty hawk. We weren't in the room much so it served its purpose. Keep an eye on check in times.. They aren't there late.

Nice stay. Room was nice but had a musty smell to it. Not sure if is from the salt/sand that customers bring in overtime and it gets in the carpet or what. Got used to the smell but when got home if really stood out on my clothes. Not really a big deal though. People at the desk were extremely nice. Great price for what you get especially during the off season. Would definitely stay there again.
