Stayed at this hotel twice as it was near downtown Ponta Delgada and not far from the airport. Taxi ride was 10 Euros each direction to and from the airport. There is a taxi kiosk in the lobby to call the taxi, although a little confusing to use. First stay, front desk staff was not informing of things like parking tickets when parking out in front of hotel (had a car for first stay and got a ticket). There is a breakfast that can be purchased, buffet style. All Azores hotels have the same type of buffet as far as what we experienced. The area around the hotel looked like it wasn’t maintained well but we were passing through for one night each way. The price for a standard room was $275 dollars (value was around $175) as the airplanes go directly over and it sounded like windows were open when they were closed. About Two hundred more Euros gets you a more luxurious hotel a block up.

This was such an amazing place to stay. We were a family of four that stayed for one week at Casa do Cantador and we loved it. Convenient location, clean and decent sized suites, great staff that were always super helpful, excellent outdoor space, and the breakfast was a wonderful addition. We would definitely love to return again!

"The house is very nice, quiet. We fortunately to have good weather to be able to use the pool and have a down day to get over jet lag.
