The Sandman hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Newcastle! Absolutely brilliant!

Great hotel, perfect location.

Posted 29-Nov-2016
Went here for a long weekend, the hotel is well placed not to far from Monument St. and even better just next to St. James Park home of Newcastle United. The rooms are quite big and our room even had a little kitchen. In the ground floor of the hotel, there is a fine bar and restaurant, but don't be alarmed there is no noise in the rooms. All in all a great stay.

Nice and central

Nice and central location, friendly staff. Rooms could have been more comfortable, however, at least no noisy heatpumps this time.

Great hotel

Posted 21-Nov-2016
Pros: Beautiful decor, great staff, great location
Cons: Paid for car parking in adjacent car park, only to find it full with no spaces available. We were given a refund.
Beautiful modern hotel, close to the centre of town. Room was very clean and had a kitchen area. Dogs are allowed and welcomed. Staff charming and the breakfast was first class.

Good hotel, area is noisy.

Good hotel, in a good location. The only issue is it is noisy, specially if you are facing the stadium.

Extremely noisy heat pumps

Posted 17-Oct-2016
Location: Location is very good for football, drinking and gambling.
The heat pump in the room I was staying in made an awful lot of noise for a few minutes about once per hour. Probably good for their late chack out fee business though, as people need to stay in late to recover for the lack of sleep. Have stayed at the same hotel several times before though, and cannot recall this being an issue. So this may either be a room specic issue or not applicable during warmer seasons.

Comfortable with great location

Posted 10-Oct-2016
Location: The whole city on your doorstep. Shopping, theatre, restaurants...
The room was small but perfectly formed. Modern, clean with all expected conveniences and a fantastic view of St James' Park.
