Slightly tired hotel in a good location

Pros: Location and room
Cons: Decor and prices particularly the bar.
Location: Good location away from the chaos of uptown with a number of good restaurants and cafes nearby.
The hotel could do with a refresh. It is in a good location and the staff are friendly and try to help if a little vague at times. Breakfast needs to be re-examined it is not inviting. The bar whilst lively is very expensive and not worth the money. The resort fee is unclear what it is for, either include it in the price or get rid of it, it feels like a rip off. A hotel with great potential that needs some work and not just cosmetics.

Going to NYC? Book it!

Hotel was clean; staff was perfect; room & bath, NY small; location very good--near an assortment of eateries, and walking distance to transportation. $19 resort fee included continental breakfast, water, and wifi. Will book again.

Great hotel in the heart of the city!

The staff was extremely welcoming and made me feel right at home. The room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. Toshi's Living room had great atmosphere and the food was yummy! The hotel is located in a great spot within walking distance from so many sites!

The room was comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a jetted tub, which was fabulous after a day of walking all over NYC. Starbucks was right across the street, and an upscale market at the end of the block. I was able to rent a mini fridge for $10 for my entire stay. The hotel was conveniently located, and the front desk people friendly and helpful. There's a hopping bar on the main floor with live entertainment. I have already recommended this hotel to someone I know visiting NY next month.

Extra hidden charges and terrible service

Cons: Get rid of the "nonoptional" hidden charge, give people the correct room keys, don't wake up guests, and turn off alarms.
I am not the type of person who writes bad reviews, but our stay was laughably horrible. There was an non-optional $19 charge that stayed on our bill even after I proved I'd never been told about it, they put us in the wrong room with a smaller bed, then they woke us up to tell us to move rooms, and finally there was a clock radio that woke us up at 5am. Ridiculous altogether.
