"Perfect paradise for a bohemian break . Quirky cottage in a quiet corner of beautiful rural France . Directions a little difficult to follow but the final discovery worth the search ! Staircase to the bedroom balcony makes a bathroom trip in the depths of night a precarious adventure but the overall ambience and amenities are delicious . Superbly comfy sofas and French scrabble makes the evenings simple fly by ."

"We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....

"A simply wonderful stay in a most beautiful location. The tranquility, stunning views and super pool allowed us to completely relax. The short walk through the countryside into Agonac enabled us not to use transport everyday & the added benefit of the rail station was another plus. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Lauren discreet yet there if we needed him and Collette a phone call away. We would absolutely love to return next year. "Very comfortable house in a lovely spot (only slight difficulty is the spiral staircase - which could be tricky for some). Especially good if you like fishing with a beautiful lake right outside the front door. Surroundings are extremely quiet and peaceful with plenty of nice walks in the area. Host’s really nice and friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back."

"Le très mauvais temps n'a pas permis d'apprécier la région, ni les extérieurs du gîte (piscine...), dommage. Toutefois Brantôme tout proche vaut le détour et Sarlat aussi mais plus loin. Le gite est spacieux, beaux espaces, etc. Mais les propriétaires ont dû improviser des solutions de remplacement de sanitaires."

"We have stayed with extended family and friends including a number of teens, baby and a large dog. Had brilliant time, house well equipped for all ages, pool is large and very well maintained. Extensive grounds with lots of places to relax including my favourite - the hammock! The views are to die for! All very clean and the owners were fantastic, helpful but not intrusive. We had such a lovely time and will come back to continue exploring the area - so much to do!"

"What a beautiful farm for a relaxing stay! Brice was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and shop. He had good English language skills and was very helpful in guiding our still-developing French! There are nearby places, even on the farm, to hike on trails and explore the woods. We ate our meals on a table in the backyard watching the sheep grazing around us. All in all, a beautiful place and time! I highly recommend it!"

"The hotel islocated in an old abbey but the inside apartments are modern, comfortable and clean. The kitchen and supplies are perfect for a simple meal and breakfast to save money if on a budget. The bathroom was spacious for European standards and the bed very comfortable. "
