Special vacation

Posted 24-Jul-2016
Pros: Personally I was in awe of the scenery. A real tropical paradise!
Cons: They should have elevators when one has to move luggage.
Location: We knew the island already. One needs a car or a friend with car to move around. There are many beaches, small shops, restaurants.
We stayed at the hotel for about 8 days. The staff welcomed us and allowed us to enter the room early. The room was clean and comfortable. The A/C working well and adjustable, the bathroom facilities perfect. The little veranda outside the room gave us a beautiful view of the sea and park. The scenery was absolutely stunning. The pools were perfect for kids and adults. and breakfast was always plentiful and varied. We enjoyed the hotel greatly and plan to go back We did not eat all the meals there and we did not take part in all the activities, but we plan to do that in the future. The only negative part if that the beach is not accessible as it is rocky and the sea very choppy. We used other beaches on the island and it worked out very well.

Overpriced stay else where

Posted 19-Jul-2016
This hotel maybe be claimed to be the best hotel on the island but is far from this . After paying over 249 per night on Expedia firstly no bath soap after housekeeping was done, request a plate for dinner was asked if the food was bought at the hotel. Diner plate was never delivered to the room after several attempts. Wifi is not good at all was given a password for one night even tho staying for three nights. Come on get you act together!! Hopefully the sandals option in coming years will be the perfered choice.

The rooms are not worth the price

Posted 17-Jul-2016
The rooms were not up to standard and we got placed in the farthest room possible even though we had aged man who were not able with the walking. Shower leaked, bathtub looked dusty and waiting on the carts to pick us up took over 40 mins. We extended our stay and got locked out of our room which was a huge inconvenience. The manager was conveniently not in at that time but we later spoke to the rooms manager who was very pleasant and gave us dinner which was a very nice gesture. The food here is amazing and worth it. Tamika was one of the friendliest and most helpful front desk staff.

Great location and very friendly staff

Posted 02-Jul-2016
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast
Cons: Communication if there is an issue out of staff control and better handling of such issues.
Location: Good restaurants, golf course, beach and three swimming pools to choose from
Issue with water and it was turned off at 10pm on our first night with no indication during check in, still wasn't working when we left at 9:30am following morning but letter in the room when we returned to say would be off until 6:00am. No alternative room available and no contact back from reception after 3 phone calls. Sheets were dirty on arrival but were changed at our request.

Front desk, breakfast and concierge staff was great and very accommodating. Facilities were beautiful and generally well maintained except for the expected wear and tear from the sea blast. An overall enjoyable experience.

Nice rooms with oceanfront views.

Posted 29-May-2016
Pros: Location and oceanfront view
Cons: I can't think of anything
Location: Location can be an issue, unless you are only staying at the resort. A car or taxi is the only way to sightsee or dine outside the resort.
I would recommend this resort. It was conveniently located for the purpose of this trip and within walking distance by the beach to the start of the Athletic Village. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities; breakfast was included, and had food to please many and all tastes. The lobby was inviting and open air, the pool was clean and the staff efficient and pleasant. In summary, it has all the elements to make for a wonderful stay.

large 'resort style' hotel with breathtaking views

Posted 12-May-2016
Pros: the staff made the whole experience. very accommodating and very helpful. although the rooms are a little dated, they were of great size.
Cons: just the rooms can use a little updating!
Location: location is close to the airport!
upon check-in we were greeted with a 'welcome beverage' and escorted to our room.. everything was organized upon arrival without any delay. the room (like all) had an amazing view of the ocean and sight lines to the main pools and main areas. there are multiple pools for access. the included breakfast was phenomenal with great options to choose from. the pool/beach side restaurant (outdoors) provided great drinks and choices of food/snacks. there is also a swim up bar at a pool area.

Great resort!

Posted 10-May-2016
Pros: The staff, pools, location, breakfast, gym.
Cons: Replace tubs in the standard rooms- the bath tub was horrible. There were brown stains at the bottom. Let grass grow a bit on beach side.
Location: Location was great. It is right off the main road making it easy to get to Crown Point where several restaurants are and easy to get to Scarbrough etc
Great resort. Beach was not useable due to that side of the island having lots of seaweed and rough waters. Beautiful hotel though...absolutely love the accommodations. The pools made up for the beach. They will transport you to pigeon point beach where the waters are calmer. There you can do the Nylon Pool/Bucco Reef tour which is a must do activity. Staff was unbelievably helpful and friendly. I totally love this property. I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with jacuzzi with a family of four. The drive from the main road to the actual location was absolutely breath taking.
