"Definitely get the sea view room. Location is everything with this place. We went for the eclipse and as an older couple we enjoyed a relaxing day at the pool. It was not the kind of place we normally go. It is perfect for families and it was nice to see people having fun without screens. The staff was helpful but not intrusive. Appreciated that they were on top of keeping the floors dry with everyone dripping water. The place is a bit dated but it had a charm to it. The pool is the main feature and it was kind of nice that they close it early so you can enjoy the peaceful sea views in the evening. Elevators were a complaint for some but we were on the 3rd floor and didnt mind walking down. The other issue is the parking but we totally lucked out getting there early to get a spot near the hotel. We just kept up on paying the meter every 4 hours until the evening when parking was free."

"The hotel itself was ideally located and impecably maintained by staff. I do however have 3 complaints. According to my booking a complimentary bottle of wine was to be provided upon check in. The bottle was eventully brought to the room on day 3 of 4, after i mentioned it. The bottle had a cork, no corkscrew provided. ew complaints the biggest of which was that when I asked to speak with the manager regarding my concern that in the expedia property listing it states that umbrella and chairs under beach ammenities only to find out that they cost $20 euros a day to rent. Why would these not be listed as extra fee items versus ammen. Inoncern I was told by several staff that they would be in later in the day only to find out on my 4th visit that they were not scheduled to work that day and would not be in....why not tell me that in the first place. I did leave my name and number and was never contacted."

"A basic, and older fashioned but comfortable hotel as expected for a budget value stay. Bed were clean and comfortable. Air-con worked well which was needed! :0) Usual issues with sunbeds being reserved and not used, despite signs saying they won't allow this, but that's more on the people staying there than the hotel itself. The breakfast was great, lots of variety and good quality. We both enjoyed more than expected. We didn't really eat or drink there other than breakfast as used hotel mainly as a base to explore local area. We had a kettle and mugs in our room but no tea, milk or coffee. When I requested some from the front desk we were told 'No, we don't do that'. Seemed strange, not sure if something was lost in communication? We also paid extra for a late check out, but our keys stopped working and maids came in before the issue was sorted, so again a communication issue. We were also told to wait outside the second we checked out, (in nearly 40 degree heat!!) for our taxi -that reception had booked for us- rather than allowing us to wait inside the lobby with the aircon for 5 minutes, so gave less stars for the staff interactions we had."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic stay at Hotel Best Punta Dorada! I had a fantastic 5-night all-inclusive stay at Hotel Best Punta Dorada in August 2026. From arrival, the experience was excellent. The lovely receptionist checking me in surprised me with a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room — what a delight! The hotel was clean, tidy and very well maintained throughout. My room was bright, airy, modern and spotless, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The large, comfortable beds and lovely pillows were a bonus, as was the gorgeous bathroom with its rainforest-style shower. The balcony had a fantastic sea view, which was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The all-inclusive drinks selection was excellent, with wine, beer, Baileys, soft drinks and more included, plus additional options such as Aperol Spritz for an extra cost. The food was good with plenty of choice. There were always favourites such as pizza and pasta, a large salad bar, freshly cooked meats and, at breakfast, omelettes and pancakes. I also enjoyed the themed evening meals, including seafood and Indian nights. The pool area was clean and well kept, making it perfect for relaxing in the hot August weather. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, it was genuinely a great stay. The amazing views, peaceful location, cleanliness, friendly staff and proximity to the beach made it a wonderful break. I would happily return and definitely recommend Hotel Best Punta Dorada! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Straightforward check in Straight to room on the 3rd floor Choice of 2 lifts Room clean and tidy 2 large beds Balcony overlooking pool Lovely bathroom Fridge Safe(didn’t use) Didn’t use hotels breakfast and bar as was out majority of days we visited Our last night(Saturday) we visited the rooftop bar and was extremely busy but with a good atmosphere We would deffo recommend hotel for a short stay Is a good 5-10 minute walk into town however we didn’t mind that"

"It would have been perfect if staff at the reception were trying harder to look friendly and helpful. Any questions about transport to the airport, theme park, attractions in the area..etc - the answer was " we don't provide this information". Also accepting deposit only in cash with cashmachine in hotel charging you a huge rate for withdrawing cash looks like more like scam rather than 4* hotel service. Everything else was perfect ."

"Lovely apartment with comfy beds. I asked for a high floor room and got one at the top with good views inland. Good size balcony. The swimming pool is open but only after 10 am. Across the road are bus stops and an excellent information bus hub. [Ask about a bus to the airports.] This is a quieter, greener end of Salou so you may be using local buses a lot. I recommend walking the coast path and visiting all the little local beaches. [Warning. The nearest beaches are one heck of a climb.] A trip to Tarragona is a must, especially for fans of ancient Rome. A Dac supermarket is just across the road but the best is Coviran just past the information hub. The bad... Check in takes ages and you have to leave a credit card deposit of 200 euros. The hotel next door is a bit noisy but the entertainment stops at 11pm and the patio doors shuts off the noise. Permanent residents live here as well as holiday guests. You need to leave the apartment clean tidy and free of your own rubbish including any leftovers you might leave for the cleaner [who comes only after you've vacated it.] I would stay here again providing I had the same room."
