"Room was cozy, felt like an old school lodge. Bar and restaurant downstairs which I did not know until I checked into the property. It is out a little in the middle of nowhere but convenient if youre looking to do trails, skiing, or just looking for a cheaper option near cadillac and caberfae. I didn't know the bathrooms were shared between suites but there are locks between the rooms and its all safe. Plan on being a little nocturnal as the weekend has a good show up for the bar. Overall nice place and I'll probably go back next time im in the area."

"It’s not the Ritz, but if you want a good clean, quiet and comfortable room, this might be the place for you. Basic toiletries in the bathroom, which were just fine for an overnight on the road. Very conveniently located just off 131. The room rate included a nice full breakfast with eggs, waffles and anything else you’d like, including a cappuccino machine!"

"Pros to this property:- Sunrise lake is amazing! Crystal clear, perfect temperature for swimming, and the kayaking there is so relaxing. - If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, this is it. Listening to the loons and the sound of nature here is tremendous. - The gas fire ring is so simple and makes for a perfect, easy fire every evening. - The owner is so friendly and very responsive. We had an issue and she showed up quickly and had maintenance come as well. - There's plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, and most everything you need to prepare meals. A drip coffee maker, smores sticks and a grill cleaning brush would be very helpful additions. The cons :- The cabin shares a property with another cabin, and the other cabin sits right above this one. They can see directly into your cabin so you may want to keep the blinds closed if that bothers you. - You also share the beach area and the dock and kayaks with the other cabin as well. It didn't pose too much of a problem for us, however I can see where it could. - The cabin is in need of TLC. Broken window sashes, broken gutters and the dock has seen better days. The living room chairs are broken down so not many places to sit. The basics are nice and clean but the cabin inside and out needs a deep clean. The owner told us that this is their 2nd season and they have plans for improvement, so I believe it will eventually be great, but It's worth it for the lake alone!"
