Historic Strater Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"100% would recommend staying here. It’s a slice of life in the late 1800’s. The room was clean and welcoming with authentic period furniture. We had drinks and appetizers at The Office Spiritorium which were amazing. There were preserved items from the hotel’s history in display cases, which were really interesting context for the hotel history. We also went over to the Diamond Belle Saloon for dinner and had such a great time listening to the piano music and experiencing an old west saloon. The food was great. All of the staff - the front desk and both restaurants we went to were very friendly and welcoming. Great place!"
Cabin On The River, Pet-Friendly, Great Fishing!

"The property was as described on VRBO. In a quiet location with the Florida River running just feet from the front of the cabin with what appeared to be a very small spring pond. Large trees surrounding you so you are sheltered from the view of the neighboring cabin. Beautiful wild flowers and catch and release fishing right there at your reach. The cabin was clean and everything you need to fix your meal right there if that is your want. There are fans included if you come during the warm season. If you are hot natured you might ask for one more box fan to help you out during the day time. Night time cools off nicely. The internet didn't work the first two days there but the owner called and helped me straighten that out (Some old equipment had been hooked up with the new. Once that was removed the internet, and tv worked great. My husband and I loved it. Our son was a little hesitant to jump in on the quiet and restful place."

"I think there a bit too much furniture. Also lots of boxes visible with stored items. So the cluttered look is not as relaxing. Sofa is broken down inside. It could be fixed up a bit. But everything you need and nice being outside of town. It was clean and quiet. I would suggest updating and clearing out stored boxes. Make it more inviting. So photos are a tad deceiving. I would put a smaller dining table in there. It was not the same in the photo. They have a very clean kitchen and bathroom's. Well appointed. I had asked ahead of time if they had a Keurig. I was told no. So I brought mine. Got there and they had one."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin had the best views of the lake and mountain range. The deck was truly the best part of our stay. It would have been nice to have a table with an umbrella on the deck to enjoy dinner outdoors."

"Beautiful lake front cabin! Easy walk to the lakeshore. Limited kitchen but with the grill, it had everything we needed. Minor amount of bugs, but it’s a lakeside cabin after all! Gorgeous views!"
