Overall our room was quiet, clean and comfortable with nice linens, decor and well stocked snacks/drinks. The location was wonderful, being centrally located off of King St. The staff were friendly and I appreciated being able to check in early. My main problem with the hotel was its lack of care on maintenance. I’m not someone who gets upset over some chipped paint or regular wear, but when multiple reviews comment on ripped curtains or other maintenance issues you would think they’d make more of an effort to fix those (our room also had ripped curtains and a toilet paper holder falling off the wall). The breakfast basket wasn’t anything to write home about, so don’t get too excited about that. The pool area is small, but nice to have at a downtown location, though umbrellas would have been nice. For the money I spent on this room I was expecting just a little bit more, but overall it was a nice stay.
