"The staff were exceptional and the food abundant well prepared and reasonably priced. The room was clean and comfortable. THe room would have benefited from a chair in the room and my room (pretender) needs privacy film or a net curtain as there are tables directly outside which can see into the room. Orherwise and despite this the stay was exceptional and highly recommended"

"We are on the way home from an absolutely wonderful 2 night visit at The Foresters. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and done any more for us, right down to a surprise ‘happy anniversary’ balloon display! The food (breakfast and Sunday roast) were the best we’ve had for a long time, with very generous portions at very reasonable prices. The bar is well stocked with drinks and plenty of friendly locals to chat to. The room was super comfy, spacious and clean with thoughtful touches, including useful local guides, tea, coffee, fresh milk and mini toiletries. There is even an honesty operated community village shop right next door. Thank you Warren, Teddy and family for everything. We will be back if you’ll have us! 😊"

"A wonderful spacious old manor house in a charming village deep in the Yorkshire Dales. A great place to relax and watch the rabbits playing tag on the lawn outside.Bed was comfortable, the kitchen well supplied, sitting by the log burning fire in the evening and eating breakfast in the sunroom in the mornings.Life could not get any better.Wonderful stay!"

"It was a cute little bolt hole. We are however tall & it’s very low ceilings and doors so had to duck everywhere. Reasonably well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Some cobwebs between beams & in windows which we used a duster to move those above the bed. The bushes by the main entrance could also do with a trim as encroach on the door way when passing through.Some teas, coffees, biscuits and fresh milk was a nice touch as well as the a little freezer with the fridge. Easy to park in little car park and very close to the pub which had great food, particularly the steak and ale pie. Setting is stunning & some lovely walks and views a few steps away from the accommodation."

"Smaller than expected with low ceilings. Good shower and lovely big bed. Enough room in the fridge and freezer for everything. Plenty of hot water. The toilet basin needed some attention as the taps spread water and as the basin was angled backwards it overflowed to the area below.There was good storage but only hooks for our clothes. Floors were slabs so had to wear shoes.Nearest shops and petrol were 6 miles away and the two local pubs nearby supplied good food."
