Yorkshire Dales walker’s delight! Pet friendly

"It was a cute little bolt hole. We are however tall & it’s very low ceilings and doors so had to duck everywhere. Reasonably well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Some cobwebs between beams & in windows which we used a duster to move those above the bed. The bushes by the main entrance could also do with a trim as encroach on the door way when passing through.Some teas, coffees, biscuits and fresh milk was a nice touch as well as the a little freezer with the fridge. Easy to park in little car park and very close to the pub which had great food, particularly the steak and ale pie. Setting is stunning & some lovely walks and views a few steps away from the accommodation."

Delightful cottage in Yorkshire Dales national park

"We really loved our stay at Barn Acre. Perfect home base for a 12-day visit to the Dales. We even stretched the definition of the Dales, as we visited sites from Whitby up to the beaches of the Lake District. The cottage is very thoughtfully equipped and styled cozily. We loved the kitchen and comfy seating. The washer dryer combination was a ‘life saver’ . The cottage was generally clean, although we would have liked some more attention to details in that regard. The beds are firm, which I appreciated, though on the stiffer side — I could feel the springs slightly. Communication with the hosts via the VRBO-app was pleasant and full of tips and recommendations. This would definitely be our base again for further exploration of this area."

"We had a fantastic week at this gorgeous property and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. It was exactly as described, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.The enclosed garden was a real bonus for our two Cocker Spaniels, who absolutely loved having the space to run around safely. The location is perfect for exploring the local area, with plenty of beautiful walks right from the doorstep, and the village itself is just perfect. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to the local pub after a day out.Before we arrived, there was an issue with one of the kitchen appliances, however this was communicated to us and everything resolved before our arrival, ensuring there was no disruption to our stay. The cottage had all the home from home comforts we could have asked for.We’d happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway."

"Smaller than expected with low ceilings. Good shower and lovely big bed. Enough room in the fridge and freezer for everything. Plenty of hot water. The toilet basin needed some attention as the taps spread water and as the basin was angled backwards it overflowed to the area below.There was good storage but only hooks for our clothes. Floors were slabs so had to wear shoes.Nearest shops and petrol were 6 miles away and the two local pubs nearby supplied good food."
