horse property with magnificent view nearSequoia/Kings Canyon National Park
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this cabin.
The biggest advantage is that it is owner-managed. During our stay, I forgot my phone charger, and after sending the owner a message through VRBO, he was at our door within five minutes with a charger that fit my phone. That level of service, directly from the owner, really makes a difference. He has thought about every problem visitors can have, and he has a good solution for each.
The property is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. We saw wild rabbits and birds every day, and our kids loved watching the wildlife. Make sure to spend some time relaxing on the deck because the views are fantastic. The owner was also very responsive throughout our stay.
A couple of things to know: we arrived at the property in a minivan. Nonetheless, an SUV is a better choice because of the rough rural access road at the end. Also, the drive includes many winding mountain roads, so follow the posted speed limits carefully and consider bringing motion sickness medication if someone in your family is sensitive to curves. It is also wise to arrive during daylight, as the road is rural.
Overall, an excellent place to stay for a Sequoia trip."
"First the good news - and its almost all good. Communication with the host was excellent. The property was clean and orderly. The sofa bed in the living room was a quality item. The location of this cabin just can't be beat, especially for the price. Less than stellar: There is no oven underneath the stovetop. Propane grill works great. The hosts have provided what looks like a new air fryer, big enough to heat up a frozen pizza, but it just doesn't really cut it. No icemaker (or even adequate ice cube trays) in the fridge. The ping pong and foosball tables are ramshackle items in the ramshackle open air car port. The wifi quit on us for a bit while we were there - the router is a very cheap affair. These were minor issues compared with the advantages of staying here."
"Clean rooms nestled right in the forest! Breakfast was not available. The shower is small, but the bedroom was large and spacious. Hosts very friendly and helpful, and made getting to the national parks easy."
"Terrific cabin, full of special touches. Close drive to Kings Canyon and Sequoia Nat'l Forest, with a fun mountain drive on the way.Super back deck with a big grill to use and views of the night sky!Helpful hosts, easy to contact, respond right away to questions."

"🌲✨ A Healing Glamping Record from Last Week
At first, I wondered if it was a bit too deep in the countryside, but as soon as the gate opened, the staff was already there waiting to welcome us, starting the trip with a wonderful touch of warmth! The kind hospitality we felt throughout our stay still leaves a heartwarming memory.
Rather than the typical cozy vibe, it was a truly unique and exotic experience for me—staying in a massive tent like the ones Mongolian nomads use, furnished with two queen-sized beds.
What also impressed me was that despite staying in an outdoor tent, both the electricity and Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. On top of that, the rescued animals at the site were incredibly friendly, which made this trip even more special and memorable.
Even though it was just a short one-night stay, I was able to fully unwind and relax in such a spacious and extraordinary environment. Totally recharged! I will definitely visit again soon 🤍"
