Average hotel in the center of the city

Posted 25-Aug-2016
Pros: Convenient location in walking distance to most attractions
Cons: Hotel requires renovation, especially bathrooms
Location: Depend on your priorities, you may find everything of interest including bars, restaurants, museums, shops, historical places, and so on.
When we checked in, they give us a room on the second floor with window-to-window with neighbor house, which was approximately 5 feet apart. After our complain, they give us other room on forth floor with window looking onto the busy street below. It was slightly noisy but acceptable, if you want to sleep. Room was big enough by European standard. It was clean, but worn out, especially bathroom with a paint peeling out from ceiling and walls, towel hanger falling out of wall, and toilet that required some force to let it operate. Breakfast was okay, but vegetables where served with a hot meal only, which you have to order (included in price). It is a three star hotel that claims themselves as four star one.

Stayed for one night on business. The location is great, very central. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable. I also really liked the room service menu!

Lovely hotel on Stephen's Green

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: Cleanliness, nice room, comfortable mattress, very friendly staff, great breakfast, excellent location
O'Callaghan Stephen Green was a lovely hotel in a great location. The amenities were great and the breakfast was fabulous. We were only able to stay one night due to our itinerary, but enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again if we visit Dublin in the future.

Pros: perfect location, room was huge
Cons: air con was noisy and had to take 2 lifts to room !
Usually stay in Radissen Blu but was booked so tried O'Callaghans instead. Pleasantly surprised, room had recently been refurbished and was huge.

No hot water for two days

Posted 06-Aug-2016
Pros: The staff, the location
Cons: Maintenance on the building
We had NO hot water for half our stay, and the hotel just kept telling us that the boiler would be fixed shortly. They did not compensate us for the hardship at all. The staff were very friendly, but the hotel was not worth the high summer rate. Also, the air conditioner in our room didn't work. We were able to open the windows, but Dublin is very noisy city.

Excellent Spot

Nicely located in the center of everything. A splendid park will greet you every time you leave. We were able to walk pretty much the entire city, including the Northside, in two days. Don't go out for breakfast, the hotel had a nice set up.

Nice hotel at a very convenient location

Posted 07-Jul-2016
Pros: Fantastic service, great location.
Cons: Better lighting in the hallways
Location: Walking distance to a lot of the downtown Dublin sites.
We stayed here due to an overnight layover in Dublin. I had been at the same hotel several years ago when in Dublin and when I mentioned it at check in we were upgraded to a junior suite. Very nice way to show appreciation for a return guest. The hotel is at a great location and since we only had part of the afternoon and evening it was great since we could walk to wherever we needed to go. As we were headed out the hotel to explore, a heavy rain started and we were graciously given the use of an employees umbrella. Nice touch again! Although the hotel is rather dark, especially the hallways, it is quiet and the rooms well decorated. The area where breakfast is served has huge windows and its a lot of fun to watch local folks going off to work. We would definitely stay here again.
