When was it established and what events has it seen? Strive to find the answers to these questions when you visit Dortmunder U, a building of historic importance. Adventurers in this destination have an abundance of choice. Public squares tell many stories. Stroll well-worn paths and keep an eye out for clues to the area's history at Hansaplatz. Still have time to spare? A wise man once said, "Art, in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos." Marvel at the profound works at Museum Ostwall, and take a moment to envisage the story behind each piece.
Getting convenient places to stay is crucial when it comes to planning cheap holidays or luxury getaways. Luckily, Dortmund has 28 accommodation, so you'll have plenty to choose from.
If you're the type of person who can't sleep unless they have high thread count sheets, why not cuddle up in luxury at the L'Arrivée Hotel & Spa (Wittbräucker Str. 565) or the TOP CityLine Parkhotel Wittekindshof Dortmund (Westfalendamm 270)? If you don't fancy shelling out such big bucks, why not spend your evenings somewhere less expensive? Consider the Dorint an den Westfalenhallen Dortmund (Lindemannstr. 88) or the ibis Dortmund City (Landgrafenstr. 1).
If you're coming in by plane, it's most likely that you'll be heading to Dortmund Airport (DTM). After you've gotten your suitcase from baggage claim and headed outside, the central area of Dortmund will be waiting 6 miles (10 km) away.

Staffing are friendly and patient The rooms are cleaned and the location of the hotel is excellent next to the shopping centre
Lovely reception, staff were very helpful and all we needed during our stay were close to the hotel
Oh my. You have to walk down a dark narrow street to reach the hotel. The lobby is only staffed until 11pm. The rooms do not have individual bathrooms, only a sink. The shared bathroom is very dated with an old shower and toilet. There is no safe in the room for valuables. There is a flickering hall ...
