"The location was great but parking not so. If u have a car, you need to pray very hard that Latimer Square has a free parking lot for you if not you will have to pay for parking. It was 10 min walk away and with luggage it is no joke. There are free 5 min parking just outside the hotel for us to load luggage etc but there are taxis waiting there (definitely for more than 5 min) and they took up all the lots. This happened to us when we first arrived and even on the day we left -_- We kind of regretted not choosing another hotel with free parking. Otherwise, it is a hotel in the central area of Christchurch and you can walk to Riverside Market from there. Everything else requires you to drive so getting a hotel with a convenient and free parking lot is more important."

"The George was a wonderful property located in Christchurch, with phenomenal customer service and spacious rooms. Free parking and within walkable distance of downtown locations and restaurants. Would highly recommend staying here purely due to the customer service! "
