Nice hotel, but not room 717

Posted 26-Sep-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: As said above, ice making machine at outside room 717 should be removed.
Location: 2 min walk from Mag Mile.
It is a very nice hotel, one of the landmarks in Toronto. Location is perfect, 2 mins walk to Mag Mile. Subway station is nearby. Room is clean and spacious. However, Room 717 is not good at all. There is an ice-marking machine by the door. It feels like a motor bike running 24/7 outside your door. To be honest, either the machine should be removed, or that room should not be given to any customer at all.

Nice hotel! Wish the Hard Rock Cafe was connected to it. I would stay here again!

Stilechtes Hotel in zentraler Lage

Posted 14-Sep-2016
Pros: Historisches Gebäude (Carbon Building) in perfekter Lage
Location: Magnificant Mile, Willis Tower, Culture Mile, Riverwalk, Hancock Tower, Michigan Lake, Navy Pier
Alles perfekt! Jederzeit wieder.

Pros: Its proximity to everything downtown.
Excellent staff!!! Very helpful with everything. Easy walk to L, shopping nearby, park around the corner, museums, it was a great place to stay. Did not eat at Chucks as we were there for one night.

Very Poor at solving problems

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Our Television didn't work. They had all day to fix it as I was at work all day. I came home at night to find a note under the door that the TV could not be fixed so they were asking me to change rooms. Apparently me packing up all my things, moving and unpacking again was easier then swapping out the broken TV for a working one. I told them that moving was not an option (as I was checking out the next day) They told me the movies were working and I could watch 2 free movies. The movies weren't working either. Pretty poor customer service over all.

Worst Hard Rock Hotel so far

Posted 07-Sep-2016
Pros: Chuck's Restaurant. IT was delicious food and very affordable!
Cons: Take off the Hard Rock name and REMODEL
Location: Great location.
My fiance and I have decided to travel a few times a year and stay at all the Hard Rock Hotels we can in the USA. This is our 4th one. We have stayed in Orlando 4 times, Las Vegas 2 times and Lake Tahoe once. The Hard Rock Chicago is by far the worst hotel we have stayed at. The only thing Hard Rock about it is their gift shop and the sign on the building that is it. We pulled up across the street where the "valet parkers" just stood there. We had to pay 65.00 a night for valet - and we ended up carrying our bags across the busy street ourselves. The next morning a call came to our room and the valet's had smashed my father's brand new vehicle. So they "forgave" the parking charge and said they would have their insurance company contact us in 10 days. Still waiting. The room was supposed to be a "King Deluxe Suite". It was a tiny room with a bed that could not possible be a King but probably a Queen. The most uncomfortable bed we ever slept in in our entire lives. There were holes in the door, dirty walls, mildew covered bathtub. My parents had the room next to us and the exact same thing. When we talked to the manager he told us everything was subcontracted and they could do nothing to make our stay more pleasant. The two restaurants in the hotel closed hours earlier than stated.

Posted 04-Sep-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Check in staff could have been more engaging.
Location: Very central
Great location in Chicago, close to metro and buses. We had a corner room with great views. The room and hotel very clean.
