Central New York City Holidays from £893

Check in was smooth and hotel is conveniently situated for central Manhattan. Lots of bars and restaurants within a few blocks. Hotel is very basic and quite run-down (peeling paint, rusty radiators etc) but very clean on arrival nonetheless. We were surprised that the room wasn't cleaned during the day and towels weren't replaced (our stay was for four nights) but the kitchenette was adequately equipped for making breakfast and packed lunches (not sure how it would fare cooking a full meal though). Overall it was perfectly fine for a few days of sightseeing and good value for money, if you don't need luxury.

am an extremely upset customer and I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here. The conditions were filthy and unacceptable, and I have photos documenting what I found. There’s was dirty stains on the sheets, someone’s shoes under the bed, hair all over the floor, hair in the creases of the bed. I left because I did not feel comfortable staying there. They also kept saying a staff member will come in 30 mins and that 30 mins turned into 3 hours with not a staff member in site and after many calls of them promising the same 30 mins every time. What a joke! I can’t even tell you every turn I made there was hair on the floor. Gross What made the situation even worse was the way this property handles customers. You can barely get anyone in person and seem to only deal with people over the phone. Even the security staff at the desk told me that management/staff regularly does not come down or respond to customers when called and that this is an ongoing issue. After I left, I was given conflicting information about whether I needed to formally check out, and then the hotel refused to refund me. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and was not allowed to. At this point, the entire experience feels extremely shady and scam-like to me. Seeing the positive reviews here honestly makes me question how accurate they are!!! I travel a lot and I have NEVERRRRR experienced anything like this.
