Qui plus est, la propriétaire, Madame Pain est d'une gentillesse incroyable et ses conseils tant au niveau restauration qu'au niveau visite étaient optimaux, nous n'avons pas été déçu du tout. Une adresse à conseiller et à garder dans le coin de l'oeil pour une éventuelle visite plus tard."

"The location was excellent and overall the property was good. I wasn’t expecting such a small kitchen though. Simply making breakfast was difficult as there was no room. Luckily we were only snacking but even that was a challenge at times. The living and dining space was lovely. Some of the crockery had small chips . Overall the place was clean and is clearly somebody’s home as there were locked cupboards which restricts storage - especially in the kitchen. I probably would not have stayed there if I’d known about the kitchen , however, I would now stay there again based on the location and the rest of the property and we enjoyed our stay. There were only three of us so don’t know how it would be if there were six staying. Very well located property if you want to visit the beaches and museums."

"Great location right on the coast.Maud and Maxime were excellent hosts. We exchanged multiple messages prior to our arrival in which they answered questions and provided helpful information. Although they speak only French – and our French doesn’t go much past Bonjour – we easily used Google Translate to communicate.The cottage is very nice and well-appointed, true to the photographs. Looking out onto the water with a sea breeze in your face is wonderful. Note: At 69 and a few weeks shy of 72, we had no problem with the spiral stairs. But these could be an issue for a person with limited mobility.Grandcamp-Maisy is a nice town. Bakery for your morning croissants a short walk. We had excellent meals at La Marine, Restaurant de la Marée, and L’Aristide. The Le déBARcadére bistro next door draws a quiet crowd and closes at 9pm. Never an issue with noise. Fun place to walk around the harbor and visit the shops. No problem parking our rental car in some spaces on the quay about 50 meters from the front door.Also a good, central location to explore the D-Day sights, Bayeux, and other areas of Normandy. Don’t miss Maisy Battery on the edge of town where you can actually walk through the German trenches / blockhouses and a couple of 155mm howitzers are still mounted on their emplacements.We would definitely stay here again."
