The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't stifled our desire to explore. Here are some tips on how to tackle travel's new challenges:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before locking in a flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, even at screening checkpoints. Be prepared to adjust your mask for ID purposes when asked.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it straight on the reader yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• You're allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. This will need to be removed for screening.
• Place any personal items (phone, keys and wallet) in your carry-on instead of a bin to reduce handling during the screening process.
• If you're taking food through the screening checkpoint, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to touch your food container or carry-on bag for inspection.
