"Beautiful property in a beautiful setting. The staff are wonderful. The manager gave us helpful suggestions for enjoying the area and even drove us to the train station on Easter Sunday morning when we checked out as taxis might have been difficult."

"Absolutely lovely property and the the female member on reception was so nocecand helpful. However a major road was closed nearbtge hotel and we were not warned about his in any way and when we encountered it we were directed to a different route by the police which was the scariest route I have taken in my life of 45 mins of pure hell and my husband is a very confident driver. We then found out from the restaurant were visiting that our hotel had a private safe route which no one bothered to tell us about. When challenged by this later the reception staff of 2 men doged every way to apologise or to take any responsibility which was disgraceful "

"We had an incredible stay in the Duoro Valley. Our villa had an amazing view and was conveniently located for driving to various wineries and towns. There was a lovely pastry shop just steps away and a gourmet restaurant just a short walk away as well. There was a driveway for parking and a smart TV. Our host Katia was very responsive to any questions that we had. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed to prepare a meal. We were there for two weeks, and our host came in and changed our sheets, washed our towels and cleaned which we did not expect and was a nice surprise. We did not get to take advantage of the outdoor kitchen, but it looked like a wonderful spot for preparing meals and eating outdoors. I would stay here again for sure. Katia was a wonderful host."

"We had a comfortable room with a patio overlooking the Douro River. Staff very friendly. The only negative from our point of view was the window from the shower into the room. The botton 2/3 rds are translucent and upper 1/3 clear. If a light is turned on in bathroom bedroom is lit up as well . Also the obvious privacy issues. Other than the the room , hotel , staff, bar and restaurant are great."

"Katarina was wonderful! She made check in easy and welcoming and even helped to get our luggage out of the car, up stairs and right to our room door. We were then given information on restaurants, vineyards for tours and tasting, information on breakfast…. We could not ask for more ! Breakfast buffet was excellent! Hot food, super fresh baked goods, yogurt, fruits, fresh juice…. And a great view to the river and far shore. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room was well appointed with very comfortable bed. The river view and private huge balcony were wonderful. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast buffet. I would highly recommend the hotel. "
