What you can expect

Welcome to this medieval historical town in the Baltic Sea, affectionately named “Berlin’s bathtub” before World War II. Usedom Island is the sunniest place in Germany, having over 1900 average hours of sunlight per year. The meaning of this historic town is “river mouth.” and the name comes from the Slavic word “uznam”. The island by the same name where the town is situated is actually divided between Germany and Poland. Our journey will start from the 15th-century iconic Anklam Gate. Enjoy the nicely decorated houses of the medieval town centre and admire its only surviving parish church. Join us for a walk to discover the deeper roots of this awesome city, be amazed at every corner, and leave with a sense of wonder.
