Your guide at driver will meet you at the hotel at 0800. We will drive to Doi Inthanon National Park. Doi Inthanon is with 2,565 metres elevation above sea level the highest mountain of Thailand. It is the source of many rivers and an important watershed area. The forest types include moist evergreen forest, pine forest and mixed deciduous forest. Doi Inthanon has the most significant number of bird species of any site in Thailand. First stop will be at a local market where we will buy some supplies for the trekking. After our shopping we will continue to the summit of Doi Inthanon.

The thundering Wachirathan waterfall is most famous waterfall of the national park. After this awesome waterfall will drive up to the summit where will hike the short but interesting Angka Nature Trails. After this we will visit the two pagodas that were erected in the honour of the King and Queen of Thailand. Time for lunch which will be at a local restaurant. After lunch we will drive to the beginning of our afternoon trek through the forest. Our destination is a Karen village where we will spend the night. You can learn some Thai cooking from your guide.

After an early morning breakfast, we will walk around the village and chat with some of the Karen people. We will trek downhill for almost one hour through the forest. Our first stop is at a nice waterfall. Here we will spend some time relaxing and swimming. After our waterfall visit, we will trek further down through the forest to the main road. There is time enough for taking pictures. We will enjoy a simple Thai lunch after our morning trek. After lunch, we will drive the short distance to a rafting camp. Enjoy a bamboo raft trip of about 45 minutes on the Wang River. Before there were good roads, rivers were used for transport. Enjoy a relaxed bamboo raft trip. After this we will drive back to Chiang Mai where your guide will drop you off at your hotel.
