In the outdoor area, you can admire the endangered European pond turtles – also called ‘Emys’ which are part of a ‘Breed, rescue, protect’ project. The emys are the only native turtle species in Germany and are raised by SEA LIFE aquarists until they can be reintroduced into the local waters.
