Maya Bay has become the main tourist attraction of Phi Phi since The Beach was filmed here in 1999. It was always very popular before the film but now people around the world who haven't even heard of Phi Phi have certainly heard of Maya Bay. The maya bay is only open for pictures and sightseeing because it is closed to tourist attractions by the government.

Monkey Beach is located on the southwestern side of Tonsai Bay, about 700m from the Phi Phi Don - Main Island. It is a simply stunning 150m-long strip of white powdery sand fringed by emerald water. The backside of the beach is a rather steep limestone cliff, covered with lush vegetation that offers monkeys a comfortable habitat, which is where it gets its name from. We will be taking some photos of the wild monkey reside on the beach. - Snorknalling
