What you can expect

Journey through Renaissance Milan as you walk to exquisite artwork and architecture from the era, including The Last Supper. Skip the line to see Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece, and then visit the frescoed Church of San Maurizio and imposing Sforza Castle.

Your English-speaking guide meets you in Milan and takes you to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's home to Leonardo Da Vinci's The Last Supper. Bypass the crowds and step inside the church's refectory to see the frescoed masterpiece right away. A spotlight lets you study the larger-than-life 15th-century mural of Jesus dining with his disciples in great detail.

Gaze up at Bramante's geometric dome, and then head outside to stroll through the elegant, cobblestone courtyard known as the cloister of the frogs. From there, make your way to the church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, where a simple stone façade conceals a hidden gem of Renaissance art. Stepping into the church is like being inside of a treasure chest—every square inch of the cavernous interior is covered in golden-hued paintings. In the Hall of Nuns, an organ's gilded pipes tower more than 3 stories high.

Later, make your way to Sforza Castle. Roam around the brick walls, ornately carved towers, and medieval gates of this fortified citadel, whose now-dry moat was once a key line of defence in some of Milan's most storied battles.
