Good location

Great location. Helpful staff. Very small room with not much room to manoeuvre around in at all. Otherwise, enjoyed the stay there.

Hotel close to St Marks , easy enough to find.

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Pros: Central to most places of interest and clean and staff pleasant.,
Cons: Lighting in room a little dim for my taste but bathroom bright.
Location: Close to St.Marks and most other places we wanted to visit we took our reference from there and always found our way.Walked mostly, never seen so many
Hotel was easy to find with map from drop off point . Staff were friendly and efficient, room smallish but adequate and clean, shower room clean and bright.Continental type breakfast was fine. The desk staff efficiently arranged a water taxi for our departure with no problems and if I was in Venice again I would have no hesitation in staying again. Our room was on the ground floor just yards away from the reception desk.

Well located hotel close to main tourist attractio

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: Location and the room we were in.
Cons: The location of the breakfast room
Location: Within easy walking distance of all the tourist sites.
We had a nice room. Like others who have reviewed this hotel we found that rooms were directly off the breakfast room. In our case this was not a real problem but would have preferred a room away from the breakfast room. We found the hotel staff to be very helpful and polite.

Not what we paid for, no 4 stars here not even 2

Posted 04-Aug-2014
Pros: location
Cons: everything .... at least for our stay
We requested and paid for a room for 4 people. They basically turn a room for 2 into a room for 4 by adding 2 cots in the walkway of an already very small room. The shower overflowed and flooded the room which turned into a very bad smell and they had no other rooms to move us to or so they say. Also you can not get to the hotel via the canal as they claim, its too small for a boat to go down.

not worth the 4 stars

Posted 03-Aug-2014
Pros: room was spacious
Cons: WIFI is only 30 minutes - breakfast was crowded
Location: good but closer to the main water way is better (I think)
was a late booking for Venice, quite difficult to find - be ready to ask for direction. water around the hotel was not very clean

For sure not a 4 stars

Posted 03-Aug-2014
Pros: location
Cons: upgrade for 4 stars, free wifi
Location: walk distance of main areas
For sure not a 4 stars. Less than I expected for the price. Very central an within walk distance of main areas. Wi Fi is not free. Not impress at all, very overpriced.

Spacious room for 4, lovely decor, great service.

The hotel was easy to get to. 8 minute walk to St. Marks Square and to the Grand Canal. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance and yet in a quiet location. Lift to help with heavy luggage. Breakfast was great with an option to upgrade to an American for a slight charge. On the whole highly recommended.

Disappointed in hotel, room, and some staff

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Communication from staff
Location: Good Location to San Marco and water shuttle
We were put in another building upon check-in and a very nice young man carried all our bags over lots of stairs only to have a maid start yelling at him in front of us. We were asked to wait downstairs in the lobby (of the other building). Then we were told the room would not be ready for another 30 minutes. Once we were able to get into the room it was very small with white pipes running through it. The room was cute and clean but it had a skylight that had no blind...its a good thing we didn't sleep in or want to take a nap. Also, the free breakfast is served at this location, not at the main hotel...sleeping in was not an option with all the clatter. We did not have a shower, just a bath tub in which the water was hot, cold, hot, cold....it did have a spray nozzle like a shower would have, but no curtain to take a shower. We did not find the staff helpful except for the nice young man who took us to our room and showed us how to buzz ourselves into the entry. There was a big wooden door that was shut on the first night we arrived back to our hotel that we had not seen before but figured out how to get in....nothing was explained to us. You only get free Wi-Fi for 30 minutes and it did not work in the building we were in. We had to get another password and go the main building and lobby for it to work.

Over rated not worth it

Posted 12-Jul-2014
I will say that the hotel was clean. But that is all their pillows are hard like a rock & beds not any better. The shock was the breakfast buffet. Everything was either from a box or ran out. Even asking for a good cappuccino was a too much. The buffet staff were not that eager to help. For 240 euro it was a big disappointment.
