Nice & convenient to shopp'g beach front location.

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: Centrally located pool area is cool to view from both bldgs. Loved the wrap around balcony with the chairs and tables.
Cons: I think they can be a little more generous or accomodating to larger parties. Esp. giving complementary breakfast. Restuarant/bar can use more staff.
Location: Coco beach is 20 min away. Sebastian state park is a must see.
The hotel was overall good. Nice heated pool & jaccuzzi are located in the center of the two towers of the hotel. You can view from balcony which wraps around the both the bldgs out side of the rooms. Loved the little seating areas they have in this balconies. You don't have to have a beach view from you room because the wrap around balconies out side the rooms have beautiful city and beach views and there are cute chairs and a small table for you seat and have your breakfast or chit chat or just some quite time with the beach view. Staff was nice, but I found their restaurant short staffed during busy summer break weekend.

Beach is awesome

Posted 26-Jul-2015
Cons: Drainage, free chairs for beach, cheaper umbrella rental
Location: Beach
The staff was great and the price and food at the restaurant was good. The ice cream shop in the hotel was great! The room was just okay. We were next to the elevator (so no balcony and very loud). There was an adjoining room of unsupervised teens who were there for a wedding. They were so loud and bounced balls off of the wall and yelled. I called the desk and they sent someone to quiet the teens right away. The beach access and view were AMAZING. However, if I pay for a hotel on the beach, I expect that standard practice is to provide chairs. Those were at an additional cost. Normally, there is a charge for umbrella rental. This hotel charged for that as well, but the cost was extraordinarily high! When it rained, the TV went out. It rained a little each day. The rained pooled in front of our doorstep. We had to jump over a puddle to get through to the elevator. The hotel staff did vacuum the water every so often, but it was happening frequently.

My only complaint was that I had to pay $6 a night to park in their parking lot. I don't really understand why. I've stayed at the Hilton and the Double Tree on the same road in the past and did not have to do that. Other than that it's a great place

Great facility with a couple of glitches.

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Pros: The beach, amenities, comfort, friendly staff, and the deck.
Cons: Better response to guest requests. Fix all ice machines. Lower food/drink prices.
Location: If you like the beach, you're good. Plenty of shopping near but short on dining and entertainment. Some water tours close but make early reservations
We enjoyed our stay. The location was nice beachfront with a comfortable deck/lounge with food and live music.. Two minor problems: 1) We signed up to "Go Green", which meant no maid service during our stay, to receive a $5 voucher for each day of our stay (three nights). The staff member who signed us up did not explain how to use the system. Consequently, we only received one voucher on the last day when another staffer explained how it worked. 2) We ordered a table service for 2 which never showed up. I wound up going down to the resturant where I was gladly provided the 2 table services. Oh, one more thing - The ice machine on our floor did not work. Other floors had the same problem, I heard. Other than that, we had a great time.

Right on the beach

Posted 05-Jul-2015
Overall my stay was good. The front desk staff didn't greet me with a smile or pleasant attitude. Parking was $6/day. The suite with an ocean view was worth the extra money. I loved being able to enjoy the ocean views from my balcony and bed! The air conditioner in the room was annoying loud though, and even louder when you're on the balcony. Access to the beach was great. I utilized room service-- food wasn't great but the people who delivered it were! The location of the hotel was great too. Close to a Walmart and Walgreens and some decent shopping close by.

Awesome views of sunrise!

Posted 02-Jul-2015
Pros: Very much.
Cons: None
Location: Plenty of small restaurants with fresh seafood, very close to the Kennedy space center, golf courses, Disney world, etc.
My husband and I enjoyed watching the awesome sunrise, and the dolphins from our room. The hotel is very family oriented, clean with friendly staff.

Beautiful oceanfront hotel with wonderful service.

Posted 27-Jun-2015
This was our second stay at this location, and it was lovely. We are FL residents who live on the gulf, we drive across the state to stay on the Atlantic side. Honestly, most oceanfront hotels show their age, due to the harsh elements. We've paid over $400 a night at other coastal locations and didn't recieve service comparable to the Crowne Plaza. The food and cocktails are excellent and they don't overcharge. Oceanfront rooms are well worth the cost, opt to add the buffet breakfast it is a great deal. There is an underwater reef just off the shore, it's mostly at the center of the property, if you enter the water towards the north end of the building it is sandy. We will visit again.

Surprise fee to start vacation!

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Location: Right on the beach, as are lots of other hotels. Try the Ocean Café down the street for breakfast. Awesome food and bagels and great service.
The hotel is average in pretty much all regards. It's nice looking but plain. Room was OK. Bathroom shower had broken but usable knob to control water. Only freebie was morning coffee. Gym was fine. Pool was average. Hot tub probably below average. Basically, it only had beach access going for it, but my wife didn't like the location because the ocean in front of this property had large rocks that were dangerous (signs were posted as such). Our big issue was that, right when we got there, the lady informed us of a new self-parking fee that just started in May that we'd have to pay, are per day. We tried explaining that when we booked, it was advertised as free parking and we wouldn't have come here otherwise, but she didn't care. She tried some excuse about "you booked through Expedia, so we don't know what you paid..." but she was not friendly or caring at all. I didn't push it further with her. We were disappointed by this.

It was GREAT!

Posted 19-Jun-2015
Pros: Pool and hot tub.
Cons: no children in hot tub. Towels pool side guest could access with room key.
Location: Location was great everything is right in the same area.
I surprised my husband by taking an extra vacation day. We were set at another hotel for most of our stay and the last min. booked a room at the Crown Plaza. It was a great room right next to the pool, lower level. Easy access to everything. Parking was a little crazy but that was the only thing. Staff was very helpful and it you had a questions about the area they had the answer. We are going to be back in the area and will book our room at the Crown Plaza again, but will bring the grandchildren.
