Great location, but a little disappointing

Posted 29-Jun-2015
Pros: One plus: bed is very comfortable.
Cons: Better WiFi!
Location: The Louvre is right next door, and there are some nice cafes in the area.
It's awesome that this hotel is close to the Louvre (though far from things like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe), but the WiFi is basically not functional at all, which makes things tough for an international traveler. Also, the front desk staff are not very friendly (though the cleaning staff does seem nice), in contrast with the vast majority of French people we met on our trip. The price was OK, but overall, I think there are probably better places to stay in Paris for the same amount.

The position of this hotel was perfect for access to all major landmarks and the area around it was great for food in the evenings after a hard day's sight seeing. Cafe de Relais two doors down did fabulous breakfasts to set you up for the day with brilliant staff. Cheaper than hotel breakfast.

There are better hotels for their price

Posted 01-May-2015
Pros: Very good location
Cons: better mattress, cleaner room, fix electronics in room, fix heater/AC, better breakfast (it's Paris!!).
Location: Super good location, walking distance to the Louvre museum, parks, shopping, bars, restaurants, river, to everything!
I was on vacations in Paris, the location is super good, staff was just ok, some of them very nice. Why my rating: bed in the room was old, no support at all to sleep, the glasses in the room were dirty, the towel heater in bathroom had cables out and broken, the AC/Heater only worked very hot, if you wanted less warm, then you needed to turn it off, breakfast at check-in said was included, at check out they charged me for it, they only clean the room early in the morning, if you miss it, then no cleaning for that day for your room... I'm sure that for the almost $200 per night I paid for this hotel, there are many better options. I do recommend the location, very good location.

Right in the centre of Paris

A Good small hotel with an attentive and helpful staff. The room was just fine and the bed was comfortable. Maid service was a little lax - one of the glasses had a lipstick stains on it. The location is superb - a block from the Louvre and close to the Metro. All in all, a good choice.

Poor Wifi

The WiFi in my room was so poor / nearly unuseable. Chairs in the room were hard / plastic. Otherwise, well-located, friendly staff, clean.

Good hotel in a great, central location.

Posted 22-Apr-2015
Pros: great location, comfortable bed.
Cons: sell coke, water, etc. for supermarket prices
Location: main metro is easily accessible, which opens up all of paris....and of course, Louvre, shopping, Tuilleres, Les Hall, and Pompideu are all close
In an old city center, the rooms are going to be cozy. As far as an old city center goes, this hotel was very good: comfortable bed, friendly staff, and no issues. As for location...EXCELLENT! Easy metro access....good central location....great bakery just next road over (Gosselin). The only thing that bugs me is a general Paris issue....the cost of water or coke. Considering Paris charges $4-5 for coke or bottle of water, it would have been nice if the hotel did not do the same. I wish the hotel would go the extra mile and sell coke, bottle water, etc. (the things you want) at mini-mart/supermarket prices to make the visitors stay easier. Instead, we had to look for a supermarket to buy these things. Be nice if hotel would do that....but again, this is a universal issue...not this hotel. Just suggesting here in case hotel wants to consider it. That would be a GREAT selling point for an already good hotel in a great location.

Excellent staff and management.

Posted 19-Apr-2015
Pros: I have been to many different hotels and average about 3 hotel stays per month. The staff of this hotel is exemplary in their professionalism and care
Cons: Nothing
Location: The staff of this hotel is exemplary in their helpfulness, especially the manager, Mr. Hassen. Complements neatness of the hotel and its centralitty
Kind and friendly management. Really very helpful. Also, everyone speaks fluent English.

Ideales Hotel für kurzen Städtetrip

Posted 10-Apr-2015 on Hotels
