Nice hotel with friendly people.

The hotel was nice but we were wishing that Toshi's Penthouse was open on Sundays.

A landmark hotel on the decline

Posted 20-Feb-2015
Pros: Toshi's Living Room entertainment in the hotel lobby
Cons: Needs a face lift and and modern luxury apppointments
Location: Immediate block is industrial, but blocks from Flatiron district
At late check-in, bathroom had long strands of hair on the walls. Climate control is either very hot or very cold - no in between. Decor is dated, wannabe luxury. The TV in the mirror of the bathroom doesn't sell the over-priced rooms. Front desk employees are indifferent and don't enjoy working there, in fact the front deck is more like one for a B&B or motel.

young scene in Tosh's party house

I had an unusually good price on a small room that was comfortable enough but I've been happier with other rooms in Manhattan at same price point. Excellent location next to Madison Park for anyone with business around there, convenient to Penn Station.

Nice hotel, centrally located.

Great experience, nice hotel. Short walk to Penn Station. The lounge/bar can be crazy during live music.

It was ok not great

Hotel is at a great and safe location. Room was not so clean. Very bad quality and ripped bedsheets. Other than that everything was good to great.

Good room for the price and location. Easy walk to Times Square and plenty of food options. A great experience.

It was okay....

I guess I shouldn't of expected much with paying $250/night, but not a very nice hotel, needs a re-vamp and to get some better sound proof windows.

Good accommodation.

Posted 29-Jan-2015
Pros: It was nicely decorated, and from what I could tell, relatively recently. Great location.
Cons: Nicer coffee machines. Room service.
The hotel felt a little bare bones for the price, but was also basically pleasing. Small bathroom.

Nice hotel with interesting accommodations

Posted 14-Jan-2015
Pros: The rooms were interesting and I was impressed with the quality of the Venetian plastered walls. That is a lot of work.
Cons: get rid of the mini bar thing
I like the location of the hotel, the staff was very friendly and the d├ęcor was really interesting. My only complaint was minibar with the pressure sensitive charging system. If you lift an item, it charges you. Not only are those things annoying, but they take up valuable desk space, making it hard to work at the desk.
