Nice hotel in a great location.

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: Location is excellent, bathrooms are modern and large.
Cons: Hire more staff to service your clients. Room not ready at guaranteed check-in! Make rooftop more comfortable put in plumbing and a real bar
Hotel in good location, nightclub a little hokey- loud for the first few floors. Bathrooms large and clean and modern. Comfortable beds - rooms have large windows, nice lighting.

Great Location in Manhattan

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, bed and quality of the room were excellent.
Location: Lower midtown so lots accessible.
Nice but small room. No real lobby or other amenities in the hotel itself. Very loud bands in bar each night which might be an issue on the lower floors (we were high enough it wasn't a problem).

Not as good as it looked ...

Posted 12-Oct-2014
Pros: Room amenities and decor, spaciousness
Cons: Noise coming from the club below, and in the reception area (where it was hard to hear what the staff was saying)
Location: Madison Square garden around the corner... everything really.
Very nice room-- nice decor and very, very comfy. Room was on the third floor, above the night club, and so quite noisy, which is why it gets a 4 in comfort.

Party Hotel

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Pros: The staff were outstanding; welcoming, helpful & approachable
Cons: The every-night party could be reduced to 3-4 times away however I guess this is what entices some people
Location: Great for shopping, eating & the state High Line. It's central to everywhere from Soho to Macy's
The staff at this hotel made the stay so much more worthwhile. They were all extremely helpful with all our needs. If you want a party atmosphere this is the hotel for you however if you are looking for a more relaxed and chilled out experience stay elsewhere. The house champagne is great but the every-night party & resulting noise outside is a downfall if you are looking for a relaxed break. The location is fantastic for shopping, eating & drinking. Being only 3km away from the city High Line is great for running/cycling also however this runs around all of south Manhattan so very reachable from the Flat Iron south.

Just OK

Posted 25-Aug-2014
This hotel is old and dated. It's a good location, but the building is old and renovations have been superficial. Lots of noise from the street and windows are ancient, no noise proofing. The music from the club inside was actually not that bad, we couldn't hear anything from our room. There have been some recent renovations, such as the nice LCD TV and the shower, but overall there's nothing to get excited about. The staff were nice, they let us check in a couple of hours early.

worst four star hotel we ever booked

Posted 21-Aug-2014
this is not a four star hotel. my wife and I go to four star hotels all the time, this was the worst. if you are looking for four stars, just do not go there. this is at best a three star. we booked the hotel looking at the picture gallery and relying on the expedia rating; the surprise was immediate when we entered what is considered a lobby, which is a night club. this hotel is basically a night club at street level and at top level with rooms in between. music all night long. luckily, our room was in the right corner of the hotel right on middle floors, so the noise was not that bad for us; I cannot imagine for others. room is a closet, ok for one person, carpet was terrible (were afraid to walk on it). staff was helpful and good, and we think the place is probably well run. the hotel is just not what it is sold as being.

Quirky, fun, friendly with good location

Posted 17-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
This was a good choice for a fun, friendly place to stay in NY. Our room was bigger than most, the staff was friendly (thanks Anthony!) and we had no issues with noise (mentioned by others). The location was great makin it an overall good value.
