Great boutique hotel!

Posted 14-Apr-2015
My niece and I stayed here over the weekend. We were pleasantly surprised; we did not expect much of such an affordable hotel. The staff was efficient and welcoming. Our room was great. We loved the tv in the mirror and the remote control drapes. The room was smallish, as you would expect in a downtown hotel, but it seemed bigger because of the high ceilings. Toshi's was hopping and had a great band. Unfortunately, we could still hear the band when we were trying to sleep. (Make sure to request a room higher than the fourth floor!). But otherwise, everything was great. We would definitely stay there again.

Good location bad room

Posted 02-Apr-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Renovate the rooms
Location: Union square, 5th ave, broadway, avenue of americas, times square.. Fantastic access to all of them
Very nice and convenient location. Tv embedded in the restroom mirror, nice device for house keeping...but yellow walls very old building, dirty roof, very small rooms...it was not a comfortable place at all

Overnight for work

Very clean and conveinant room for overnight stay in the city. Beware, bed is 12 inches of memory foam. Book a room above the 6th floor, due to lobby bar activity. Overall, a conveinant stay in the city.

Awesome location but a tad worn down

Posted 02-Mar-2015
Pros: Location location location.
Cons: Windows needs to be renovated or improved.
Location: Abundance of neighborhood restaurants and eateries. Access to multiple subway lines.
We stayed at this hotel during one of the coldest period of the year, and New York City was gusty. Although not many hotels in NYC are that new, the Flatiron Hotel turned out a bit worn down as the gusty wind was seeping through the windows. It feels especially cold in the middle of the night and even if you turn up the heat, it still gets pretty cold, if you're sleeping at the side that's closer to the windows. I imagine that this wouldn't be a problem during other times of the year, but this was what I had experienced.

The hotel was nice but we were wishing that Toshi's Penthouse was open on Sundays.
