Stinky beach old hotel

Posted 20-Jun-2015
It was horrible. The sea was full sea weed which understand it's not there fault but there was trash all over the beach. Staff did not return my phone call after trying to get assistant with wifi. In order to get the help I had to walk to the front desk. The place was molded need new paint. Trees and grass needed lawn maintained. Breakfast staff was not friendly. I will never go back to that hotel again. It was not worth the money I spend. I felt they should refund me half my money since I did not have a good vacation with my family. It's bad when you're kids say daddy this hotel is nasty.

Spent three days, it was an enjoyable experience.

Posted 27-May-2015
Pros: The pool! The building is beautiful, very easy on the eyes.
Cons: The grass should be maintained better. It should be green a lush, but it was brown. Keep the grounds clear of leaves.
Location: Great location!
Spent three days, had a great time! Breakfast was excellent. Loved the pool area. The whole experience was relaxing.

Nice hotel close to beach

Posted 27-May-2015
Pros: The clean rooms
Cons: The prices of food
Location: The location is so remote and there's nothing you can do nearby. Maybe if you rent a car or call a taxi
Nice hotel close to beach but the seaweeds were horrible and the smell from the seaweeds were horrible, made it impossible for us to sit in the balcony area outside our room. Also food price was unbelievable, hotel very boring on evenings no entertainment. For the money we paid we expected much better. Very disappointing

Nice Hotel but couldn't access beach

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: The cleanliness
Cons: Customer Service
Location: Location is great, not to far from the Airport, everything is nearby since the island isn't really that big.
Upon Arrival to the Magdalena, we saw that the beach was inhabited by Sea Weed! Therefore, the beach was NOT accessible at any time during our stay. We were quite disappointed because of this and also because of the fact that NO ONE contacted us to let us know about this. Some of the staff members were nice while others were quite hasty. They didn't even try to accommodate us in any other way since we couldn't access the beach (maybe give us an all-inclusive). The rooms were okay, they need to do a face lift since there was mold on the balcony. Pools were clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was GREAT...lunch / dinner, wasn't bad either. It was a few day stay with a little aggravation but all in all it was OKAY

Hotel Resources

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: We liked the basic setting and ambiance plus the food
Cons: Housekeeping should be more responsive and the bellboys should be trained to treat all guests equally.
Location: The location was ideal
Our experience at the Magdelena was okay. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was very good however housekeeping was not very responsive to our requests. The bellboy was also rude to us by not offering to take our luggage to our room at checkin.

Hotel on the beach

Beautiful place to stay, food was great. Wonderful staff, nice clean rooms. Golf course and lots of activities on the island. I am from the sister island of Trinidad, living in Queens New York. Went to Jazz 2015.

Schönes Hotel + Gratisshuttle zum schönsten Strand

Posted 06-Apr-2015 on Hotels

Feedback on the Magdelana

Posted 03-Apr-2015 on Hotels
The overall service was very Caribean, most of the staff lacked either training or motivation. The best tip would be to eat in the fine dining restaurant especially if on an all inclusive package. Also the shuttle to Pigeon Point is worth the effort as beach and sea very nice, costs TT$20 to get in pp but for £2 a bargain.
