Old lift that broke down during stay. Understaffed & waited ages to be served. Bar menu extremely poor & extortionate prices for what was on offer. No entertainment on offer for a Saturday night. Room was clean but very dated. Disappointing stay. Breakfast had poor choice of fruit.

Didnot enjoy the stay at all. The room we were staying had no fan in the bathroom, so the steam could not go out after shower, plus the window could not be opened. There was also a big stain on one of our blanket. The hospitality was not as a four star level. The staff seemed not be able to understand how important the service level is to a hotel. The only thing we enjoyed was the dinner. This was almost the worst hotel i had stayed in overall.

Stayed overnight. Hotel itself and the room were very comfortable. Bear in mind it is a little way out of the main city, closer to Salthill, not designed for those on foot. Service in the restaurant at breakfast time very poor. Numerous complaints and disorganised stressed surly staff narrowly missing customers as they dove in and out of the kitchen doors, unhelpfully situated directly in the path of customers returning to tables from the buffet. Excruciating to watch.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights while I was in Galway on business. We wished we were closer to the city center. It's a long walk. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The WiFi didn't work for a couple days which was a big deal to me since I was trying to work from the hotel. They didn't seem too concerned until I told them we were moving out if they didn't fix it. Irish customer service isn't quite like we are used to in the US, but we noticed that everywhere. I loved the coffee, but had to go to the bar and buy a small cup if I wanted some. Again, don't expect a Starbucks drive through. Overall nice place to spend a few days on a retreat with a spa and health club. It's a little more like going to a resort in the US.

Only spent a few hours in the hotel.

It was great everything was perfect. If I had one tiny knit pick it would be when I was checking in and out at reception the girl continued to answer the phone and deal with other people while already starting our transaction then mid way keeping me waiting for up to 10minutes. There was other staff standing nearby doing nothing so it seemed strange one staff was not sea dictated to phone queries. Thanks
