Close to the station

Posted 13-May-2015
Stayed at the ibis for the weekend, good location close to the station but as I requested a high level room I had the bonus of still having sea view. The hotel is only 10/15 min walk from the sea front and there's loads of independent shops and cafes nearby. Staying in a budget hotel meant that both on Friday and Saturday nights I woke up in the middle of the night with party people arriving and not being very silent. The Sunday night was very peaceful though ;) The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The new ibis shower rooms are slightly annoying though as the door has to be slammed to close (you cannot twist the handle), but the water pressure is great. The sound insulation is not great though and when the neighbours (next door, upstairs, downstairs) opened the water you could hear it loud and clear (if you have light sleep this may be quite disturbing). Overall you know what you're getting when you stay at an ibis and I would stay there again if returning to Brighton.

Great budget hotel

Posted 06-May-2015
Great budget hotel, everything was clean and tidy. We stayed for one night and were let into our room 15mins early as we arrived before check in. Hotel staff were really pleasant. It was a bit busy from the rooms down the corridor but nothing hotel can do about all the green parties going on that weekend.

Super handy.

Pros: Lovely big comfy bed. Tea/coffee making facilities.
Cons: N/A
Location: See above.
Literally three minutes walk from the train station. About ten minutes walk to the beach. And the Evening Star pub is about two minutes walk from the hotel.

Nice clean hotel close to station

Posted 16-Apr-2015
We booked this hotel for the Brighton marathon weekend as it was mid way from the marathon start and finish points. We came by car but found that it was very close to the train station. So next year we will take the train! Parking is a public car park just down the road. The hotel can get you 50% dicount on parking (still £12/ day) but beware, the discount is for 24 hours max, then you'll be charged at normal rate starting at £4/ hour so you'll have to move your car every day! The hotel was modern, very clean and good for the price. We'll be booking again.

Zentral gelegen, dennoch ruhig

Posted 12-Apr-2015

Convenient location near Brighton Station

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Pros: Very close to Brighton Station but not at all noisy. The family room was huge and very clean. It was very quiet where we were on the 8th floor.
Cons: I did not agree with the policy of charging to store two very small pieces of hand baggage at a cost of £2 per item
Location: Just a couple of minutes from Brighton railway station and a short walk to the shopping centre and restaurants.
Overnight stay with teenage daughter. Not sure what to expect from this budget hotel as had previously stayed elsewhere. Very pleasantly surprised and intend to stay there again later in the year.
