Close to the train station and beach

Posted 31-Oct-2014
Pros: The location and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: More pillows in the room
Good check in, room was comfortable. We didnt eat in the hotel but that was by choice as we were seeing relatives. Check out was good and the hotel held our bags for us for a very minimal fee. On the whole we had a brilliant experience and would stay there again.

Good hotel on the hill

Posted 30-Oct-2014
Good hotel with nice staff. Shame about the poor parking. Next time I'll go by train. Clean rooms. The family room needs a rethink. The sofa bed was difficult to get out and put away and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was great. The tables need to be square not round to make them easier to arrange. Good for the cost.

Don't use

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Pros: The staff were helpful
Cons: The menu in the Resturant, the one they had forced me to eat outside. Comunication regarding parking when booking the room,
Location: It was in the centre of Brighton so if you wanted there was lots to do.
It would have been nice for them to point out when booking the reservation where the closest car park was and let you know they paid half before you had parked and got to the receception. The Resturant menu is only fit for lunch time and with only minimal choice, and not for someone who has been working for 10 hours, and just wanted to eat and sleep. The room was clean but sparce,on the plus side the staff were very helpful. As someone who spends at least one night a week away from home I won't be spending it at an Ibis unless forced to any time soon.

Nice and central

Good location for visiting the sights of Brighton. Not much at.osphere and a bit bland, but good value and rooms are clean and quiet even though you're on a busy road. Nothing special but good for a short stay.

Bad attitude from hotel staff member.

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Cons: Better customer service from that guy on reception, having a bad attitude and making unhelpful statements is not going to lead to repeat business.
Location: Near the main train station.
I booked a family room for my cousins 40th Birthday party which was taking place in Brighton but when I got to the hotel they had given us a twin room instead of the family room that I had specifically booked, so not enough place for the whole family to stay. I explained to the hotel reception guy that I needed the family room but he said he didn't have any left as hotel was fully booked and they had already given our family room away because rain had damaged two of the rooms. He was completely indifferent and unwilling to help, even stating that he could not work miracles, which was completely unhelpful and unprofessional. Fortunately a friend had a spare room and saved us.

Great Hotel Great Location

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: The hotel is bright , modern inexpensive and very secure if we visit again we would definitely use it again .it is very well situated for everything.
Cons: For us -nothing
Location: There are numerous cafes and pubs restaurants within a short walking Buses go from outside to The Lanes ,Brighton Pavilion , Seafront & The Marina
We left our car at home for this holiday as Brighton is horrendous for parking. We went by train it was such a nice change . When we got there we stepped out of the station and found the hotel the hotel straight away we could see its signing from the station 100yards down the road ( first plus point no need for a taxi ) The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient on check-in (we asked for a room on a high floor and were given one on the 10th floor with no problem) .The hotel was very secure you had to swipe your room key to access the guest areas eg. lift or doors to other areas. The bar was small but very nice and modern . It was also very reason ably priced. Busses ran from outside the station at 5-10minute intervals to the Lanes and Churchill Square shopping area. We used our pensioners national bus passes to get about (you can get daily and weekly tickets ) . The service is very good and the busses run to time and the staff are the politest and most helpful I have ever met. on Our last night we went by bus to the Marina and had dinner at the Indian Restaurant. Altogether a very enjoyable holiday.

Hotel close to city centre and 2 mins walk from station, 10mins walk from beach. Very neat and compact with a decent bar and restaurant, friendly staff and good service.

Lovely hotel

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Never stayed in an ibis hotel before but will definitely be using them from now on, especially this one. Went to brighton for the weekend and wanted to do a bit of everything. It's close to the shops, restaurants, seafront and bars and clubs, but not close enough that you can hear noise from them which is great! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, telling us the best places to go (as it was our first visit to brighton). Couldn't believe how clean the hotel was. A 5* rating from me and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Convenient for rail station and the North Lanes

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Pros: Very near station, easy to find, twin rooms available and price
Cons: Bathroom facilities adequate but as they are built in - difficult to improve
Location: Near the North lanes - so close to quirky shops, eateries and mini supermarkets/delis both national & boutique brands.
Location & cost was more important this stay than comfort or luxury! Brighton IBIS scores highly in these respects. Value for money and close to where we wanted to be. Hotel does have cost effective breakfast option but there are various lovely individual cafes for breakfast nearby.
