Comfortable and spacious

Posted 10-Apr-2015
Pros: Spaciousness and quiet
Cons: Small facelift
Location: Near tram and close to subway and several shops
Rooms are comfortable, quiet and spacious. Moderately equipped with a microwave, refrigerator and stove. Bathroom amenities were generous and housekeeping was very good. Location is fair, but very convenient to the tram and subway. Quiet area but no view.

Leuk maar vooral comfortabel hotel

Posted 09-Apr-2015
Pros: ligging!

Nice hotel

Posted 07-Apr-2015
Pros: Nice, new, modern and clean. Seems understaffed but staff is nice.
Cons: Smallest TV ever in a hotel room - about 15"? Dark hallways where you have to turn on the lights - saving power is OK, but it should be automatic...
Location: If you are visiting Budapest, definitely check out the hotel's restaurant (adjacent to the hotel) New York Cafe. It's beautiful.
Nice hotel, I would certainly recommend. On arrival (at 7pm) there was one person at Reception who seemed to be doing everything. When we left very early in the morning, he was still there... long hours I guess. He was very helpful, despite apparently working a very long shift... One thing that was a bit weird was that the hallways were ver dark with light switches next to each door which I didn't understand first so I had to use my cell phone's to flashlight to see enough to even open the door to our room... almost pitch black. I thought the lights were out... Turned out that you have to switch on the lights yourself in the hallways. A bit weird - you don't know what's going on and shouldn't have to hunt for a light switch when you arrive full of luggage... you should just be able to SEE where you are going. Automatic lighting would be a good solution. But overall, a good experience.

Great hotel!!

Posted 06-Apr-2015
A lovely property with big airy rooms, staff very friendly and helpful. I had mentioned that it would be my friends birthday so they left a plate of macaroons and chocolates in our room with a note wishing her a happy birthday! There were just one or two tiny things thst the property could improve on. No mirrors in the bedroom, only the living room and bathroom. And the quality of the towels was rather disappointing. Very thin and rough, unlike the lovely big fluffy ones in the spa!

Excellent hotel

Posted 05-Apr-2015
Pros: The Boscolo Residences is attached to the impressive Boscolo Hotel and the New York Cafe and is part of the same group.I t is close to the metro stop.
Cons: The bedrooms annoyingly have a gap at the window allowing a person to walk between the adjoining room/window into both bedrooms.
Location: Near the subway/metro line Red 2. Buses and tram stops abundant.
3 night stay in Budapest in a two bedroomed suite at the Boscolo Residences. Great room on arrival. Very spacious with a extra large living kitchen dining room. Furniture was high end with plenty of comfortable leather sofas/chairs. Designer style room with art and good furnishings. Well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave stovetop and a washing machine. Well equipped cutlery and crockery/glasses. Large floor to ceiling windows offering a great view of the main street below. Both bedroom were excellent with a king in one and two singles in the second room. Oddly this as a two bedroomed had only one bathroom, which for us travelling with our son was not a problem but could be awkward if couples were travelling

Disappointing hotel management

Posted 20-Mar-2015
Pros: The building
Cons: The staff and room sizes
Location: Good location near eiffel tower
The hotel is great. However, the staff especially management are not as welcoming and great as other Shangrila hotels. They are not helpful.

Excellent stay!

Posted 09-Mar-2015
Great location with less than a block to the metro, street car, and bus stops. Was able to get just about anywhere in the city in less than 15 minutes. Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful in helping us make reservations and answer questions. I recommend doing the breakfast at the Boscolo hotel buffet one morning.

spacious apartment with all mod cons

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: good for access to any locations, roomy
Cons: a little sterile in décor - some precinct photos on walls or more colour?
Location: heaps to do, restaurants and cafes and shops
right on metro, near to jewish sector, perfect to get back to after long day, with very large space inc working kitchen and 1.5 baths, quick internal walk to beautiful Boscolo New York Palace hotel and bar
