A proper four star hotel

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: All I can say is that the hotel was excellent value.
Cons: Service at Reception was efficient but reactive rather than proactive. For example, I was given a town map upon request but why was this not offered ?
Location: I thought the location was good in that it was a 10 minute walk from the "action". hence it was quiet, which is a big plus in benidorm !
This was a decent hotel in every way. The pool area was excellent with plenty of sun beds. Also the Reception area was magnificent with an impressive atrium. Our room was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent value with a wide choice of cereals, cheeses, fruits, cold meats and a hot buffet, albeit the orange juice was heavily diluted.

A little to far out of the way

A lovely hotel only let down when you try to exchange money and they have a different rate for scottish notes, when it clearly states Sterling.

Good Location

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Beds
Location: Good supermarket over the road. i would recommend a visit to Levis Showboat which is 2 minutes walk up from the hotel. Three course meal for 12 euros
A large hotel in a good location, 10 minutes walk to the Beach, about 40 minutes to the Old Town. Bus stop right outside which will take you to the Old Town for 1.5 euros. Check in was easy although the reception staff were not over friendly, luckily I knew to ask about the safe in the room as she did not mention it until I did (10 euros deposit). Our room was on the 8th floor overlooking the pool, the room was large and lovely and clean but the beds are really hard It was like sleeping on a board, really uncomfortable.

Nice hotel 15 minutes from the beach

Posted 06-Oct-2014
Pros: Clean and modern with good facilities.
Location: nice location a bit further out of the main bars and beach areas. Chinese restaurants opposite were excellent value and good food.
We were here in Benidorm for our very first time on a long weekend girlie trip. We had a very pleasant stay here and although we had a bit of a walk to the beach we did appreciate the hotel being a bit further away in a quieter area. The food is average so I stuck to the salad bar most of the time in the evenings. The dining room is huge and the food is very spread out and in the mornings you would spend half the time wandering around trying to find what you are looking for. They also only have one chef on cooking the omelettes so you do wait for quite a while. Beds are comfy and rooms are spacious and clean. We would definitely go back to Benidorm and stay here again as its great value also.

Great pool and nice hotel

Posted 14-Sep-2014
Pros: Pool was really good.
Cons: Breakfast was terrible. Staff are not very welcoming either.
Location: Good beach with jet ski and cable ski activities. Swimming beach ok. Terrible food at this end of town. All British food, local food sub-standard
The pool was why we chose the hotel, but it was close to the beach also. Very much a resort style hotel with modern rooms. No view of the beach but the view of the pool is nice. Breakfast was terrible, more like a school canteen. Staff were not very friendly but helpful. Ten minute walk to the beach but in the cheap part of town. Would prefer to stay in the old town as the food and shopping was better. More suited to families who want to holiday in the hotel for most of the time. Big and comfortable

Lovely pool and very clean room.

Posted 02-Sep-2014
The hotel was lovely, about a 15min walk from the beach. Our room was cleaned everyday and was spotless. The only downfall was the beds were rock hard, The pool was great as it was split into different sections, for kids it was ideal, not enough sunbeds though, we went down about 9am to get the last 2, we needed 3, so someone had to lie on the grass. About half were reserved with towels on them but no body actually appeared there all day, which was frustrating. There should be a rule, if no body appears after 2hours then you can remove the towel and take the sunbed. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel has a good location for shops

Good location for shops and restaurants, beach is not too far either. Hotel staff friendly, but no sun beds in busy times leaving you no where to go

Great location

Posted 17-Jun-2014
Overall very nice hotel and would stay again, for me the staff was very helpful and well organised. I think with a little more attention to detail it could quite easily make a 5* if anybody is considering this hotel you have made the correct choice. My room was a standard room and if i was pickie it just required that little TLC just needs updating a touch but very clean and comfortable, but please dont let this put you off as bearing in mind its what you pay for. VERY GOOD and thank you Melia!

Excellent location for all facilities

Posted 14-Jun-2014
Pros: Location ideal, have stayed at previously, no night time disturbances all bars entertainment in hotel closed before midnight. Very family friendly.
Cons: Drinks at the pool bar were expensive luckily there was a supermarket situated across the road which was convenient and well used by most.
Location: Excellent location, water park and benidorm palace nearby, plenty of local shops and bars with selection of entertainment and food a stroll to beach.
Hotel staff friendly but not always good with information( booked in but was not told I needed a key for the safe, which meant another trip to reception). Pool and surrounding area very clean and tidy, plenty of sun beds available each day. Lovely garden surroundings with ample areas to shade from sun.
